It's been 2 days since we had to leave a celebratory drink fest early because (y/n) seemed to be sick. Not knowing the reason for her being sick and being a little bit knocked into it, we just left the party and had Frank explain for us.
After making a quick 5 minute stop to the pharmacy, the poor sweetheart just collapsed on the couch and fell dead asleep, sleeping for only four hours and waking straight up out of her room just as I was about to head on home. She wouldn't even get out of the house, claiming that she was 'contagious and didn't want to expose her bacteria to the world'. It was just a fever, nothing to really be worried about, but she refused to get out of the house, even for a checkup.
And while she had to be excluded from the last of the scheduled interviews, me and Seb took turns in staying with her, sometimes Mackie or Scarlett would if we both weren't available. Mom was in town for the premiere, so we both went to visit (y/n) this morning.
We were already at their house, parking the car by the sidewalk and walking into the house. I knew it would be unlocked and I already did see (y/n) through the window, typing away on her laptop, headphones in and wads of tissue paper all over the coffee table and ground, covered in bright yellow caution tape.
"Hey!" she waves her hand at us, voice a little hoarse. Mom and I waved at her as Sebastian peeks his head from the kitchen, wiping his hands on a small white towel. He must've been washing the dishes.
"Hey guys." he says as he walks into the living room, Casey running past him, barking at us. I instinctively kneel down as she jumps up, placing her paws on my jeans, licking at my hand as I try to pet her.
"Hi Sebastian, hows she doing?" Mom asked as she takes a seat on the opposing couch, followed by me and Casey, pawing at my Converse to play.
"Better. I'm bringing her to the hospital for an appointment in an hour. She agreed to show up for a final interview with Chris tomorrow morning." Sebastian says, narrowing his eyes at me and then averting right back at (y/n), who grinned nervously, eyes meeting with mine for a second.
"That's the reason you called me at 3 in the morning?" I deadpanned, giving the (h/c) haired woman the stink eye. (y/n) blushed and laughed nervously, scratching her cheek.
Earlier, very earlier, I had received a phone call from Sebastian, and it was dialed through the emergency dial. Obviously, I thought it was about (y/n) so I picked it up as quick as my sleep deprived brain could make me.
"Hello..?" I muttered, weakly pushing myself up on the bed with heavy sleep-ridden arms as I turned on the nightstand light, hoping it would wake me up more.
"Hey..." a familiar voice says, quiet and breathy.
"(y/n)?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. "You okay? Where's Seb?"
"Oh... um, I was looking for my phone and I, uh, called up your number."
"You lost your phone?"
"... yes."
"(y/n)," I groaned, kicking my legs out onto the cold floor, rubbing my face in exhaustion. "Sweetheart, its three in the mornin'. What the hell do you need your phone for at three in the mornin'?"
"You see, um... you know how I was sick for two whole days and I refused to do any more interviews because of how sick I was?"
"Exaggerating the state of your immune system and crying about it, yes I remember. You wouldn't even go out of the house for a checkup—"
"My fever isn't that bad!"
"Let me guess. You agreed to do the photoshoot for Vogue?"
