Stress, according to the presentation, is our body's reactions towards tension or difficulty or unexpected situations that we inevitably find ourselves in as we go throughout our day.

From my previous class in the first semester, "Understanding the Self," I am well aware that there is a good type of stress and just as God intended, there is the bad type. The thing is, the bad type of stress only occurs when we experience this stress for extended periods of time causing us to feel burnt out, affecting our productivity and entire well being.

It can be caused by many factors, especially financial, academic, family, and even student life stress. I personally deal with a split percentage of these four factors, but what lingers around it definitely student life stress.

As someone who never really had nursing on their personal roster of courses to take in college — nor was it ever a choice to begin with — I still find it extremely difficult for me to accept the fact that I ended up in nursing, just like all my relatives before me.

Therefore, some school activities and requirements like return demonstrations really take a huge toll on me. It makes me terribly nervous and makes me feel more like I'm not meant for nursing and I just happened to end up where I currently am because of my fear of failure. I honestly have yet to accept my fate in nursing, but I also believe that I can get through it.
