Kara and I are standing close, so I start to back up but she puts her hand on my cheek and our foreheads are together and our eyes are closed. Every sound and person around us drown out, just like the time before. We stay there until, "Hey guys, you're cute but have been like this for like 3 minutes" Diana whispers. Kara pulls away and I open my eyes seeing Winn and Sam gazing at us with faces that say 'they are so cute" Alex and Mike are smiling and talking. Kara and I look at each other and blush. We sit down and then Diana says "well you guys finished that faster than anticipated, someone wanna do a solo or something?" Kara raises her hand but lowers it before she gets called on. She furrows her eyebrows and then lets out a frustrated sigh. "Hey, you okay?" I whisper to her. She looks at me and her face softens "yeah, just a little worked up" she replied. I nod and smile at her, and get a burst of courage so I put my arm around her waist and put my head on her shoulder. I heard her breath pick up a little so I start to pull away but she lays her head on mine. Diana starts again "nobody, okay so I have news! So I may have forgotten to tell you guys last week and yesterday but this Friday is a surprise dance for the kids since our grade averages have gone up to a B plus" Alex, Sam, Winn, and Mike all cheer and kiss. They are going together of course. I want to go with Kara but I can't ask! What if she says no?
