Chapter 13: Lunch, The Thrilling Sequel

Shuichi sat down next to Kokichi. "Aw, is Kiiboy not here again?" He asked, sounding bummed out. Obviously, he wasn't, and Kokichi knew that. "Y-yeah... he's b-been really into reading l-lately." Kokichi said. "Ah... at least you have me though, right?" Asked Shuichi. "H-huh?" Kokichi asked, confused. "I mean, since he's ignoring you and all. Aren't you glad that I'm still here with you?"

"Erm... y-yeah, I guess...." Kokichi responded. Shuichi seemed satisfied with the answer, and dug into his lunch.

"Hm... I should check with Kiibo. Make sure he hasn't broken his part of the deal...." Shuichi thought, and glanced over at Kokichi. He was eating his lunch, and staring into space. "There'll... be time for that later." Shuichi decided. It was silent between the two, before Shuichi decided to break it.

"Soo... what's your role going to be?" Shuichi asked. "Role...? Oh. He's talking about Danganronpa." Kokichi thought. "U-uhm... well... I k-kinda wanna be... the Ultimate S-Supreme Leader...." Kokichi stuttered. "I've d-drawn what I w-want my outfit to l-look like, t-too...."

"Really? Show me! I wanna be an Ultimate Detective, just like Kyoko...." His voice trailed off, as he thought about how wonderful and great Kyoko is. Kokichi turned to a page in his sketchbook and showed him. "H-here...." Shuichi took a look. "Kokichi... this is great! Hey, you should come over to my house later today! Then, you can help me design my outfit, and we can send our application sheets to Danganronpa together!" Shuichi suggested, his voice oozing enthusiasm.

"S-sure." Kokichi agreed. "It's gonna be fine. I've been to his house before." Kokichi thought to himself. "Really? Yay!" Shuichi cheered. He then remembered his food. "Anyways, let's meet at the school entrance." He said, before stuffing his face with his lunch.

Kokichi nodded, before digging in himself. "....I miss Kiibo."

Eventually, the bell rang, and Kokichi and Shuichi parted ways. Kiibo headed to class as well, passing by Shuichi on the way. Shuichi smirked at him, but Kiibo, of course, didn't react. He went on his way to class, as did Shuichi.

The rest of the day went by like any other; boring and full of useless information. Luckily, I can skip past all of it.

It was the end of the day, and Shuichi rushed to the entrance. He was excited to be hanging out with Kokichi again, as they hadn't done that since Kiibo and Kokichi had become friends. "Ugh... Kiibo... I really wanna destroy him. Maybe I will... tomorrow." Shuichi thought to himself. He waited for Kokichi, who was taking his sweet time.

Kokichi arrived, and greeted Shuichi. "H-Hi." He stuttered. "Hiya, Kokichi. Shall I lead the way?" Kokichi nodded, and followed Shuichi to his house.

Kiibo left the school, and saw Kokichi walking with Shuichi. "....oh. I guess we aren't hanging out today...." He thought to himself. On the bright side, he got to feel and classify a new emotion: disappointment.
