Chapter 44 - Casa Grande

TAMED XLIIII - CASA GRANDÉ.

"CASA Grandé, Beachtown," rinig kong bitaw niya kasama ng kumpletong details ng probinsya sa konduktor ng bus na sinakyan naming dalawa kung saan kami hinatid ng taxi.

Tsinelas lamang ang kinaya ng barya ni Professor Sandoval kanina na ipinagpilitan pa niya dahil nakapaa lang talaga akong lumayas sa mansyon kasama niya. Wala talaga kaming anumang dala. Iyong cellphone ko'y naiwan sa dinner chair na ginamit ko. Mabuti nga't naisip pa niyang damputin iyong pink purse niya kanina na cards at cellphone lang ang laman.

The professor next to me stopped abruptly and looked up at the man, rifling through her purse, and asked him, "Sir, how can I make the payment? Do you accept any other modes of payment aside from cash? Can I pay through my debit card or transfer digitally through your ticketing system?"

Naiinis ako sa kundoktor dahil mas pinapagana nito ang mapagmatyag niyang mga mata kaysa sa kanyang tainga, kinakausap siya ng propesora pero ang loko ay nakatitig lang.

"Ah, pasensiya na po. Ano ulit 'yun, ma'am?"

"Pardon but I don't have cash, can I pay online?"

"Ayon lang, ma'am, may payment terminal po kami pero na-ticket-tan ko na po kasi kayong dalawa, ma'am."

"Do you accept other forms of payment? I really don't have..." she stopped as I cut her off by giving the bills to the crew member.

"Zamantha you don't have to."

Nagkibit-balikat lang ako at muling pumikit pagkatapos ibigay ni kuya ang sukli. Wala akong maalalang nagdala ako ng pera kanina, weird kasi may pocket itong suot kong cocktail dress at may lamang pera.

"I wish I had my car with me," she muttered to herself, feeling a twinge of regret.

This was completely unexpected, and I'm sure those we left behind are searching for us now. They saw everything earlier, and we can't deny that. I can't even say for how long they've been watching us, or maybe even listening to our weighty conversation. We even kissed in front of them, and it wasn't just any ordinary kiss. Kahit sino'ng makakakita ng senaryong 'yon ay walang mag-iisip na first time kiss lang 'yon.

All the challenges we faced were worth it because I have her by my side, and that's what truly matters. When she took that bold step forward and pulled me along with her, it was a powerful moment that showed me courage and determination. It was a reminder that sometimes, the hardest paths can lead to the most beautiful destinations.

Upon our arrival at the hotel next to the supposedly famous mall in the neighboring province, the management expressed their apologies and regretfully informed us that they were unable to provide the rooms we had requested. They acknowledged the inconvenience this might cause us and apologized for the situation.

"I've been trying to reach you through your channel for the past few hours, and if only you had responded promptly, it would have saved me a lot of frustration!"

"Tara na." Kung hindi ko pa hinawakan sa braso ang propesora ay hindi pa ito titigil. Lumambot ang awra niya nang iharap ko siya sa akin. It's been seven hours of travel, and now I'm finally able to speak to her.

Our final stop was Hotel Entrada where she booked the best room in the house: the Presidential Suite. It's definitely a luxurious upgrade from her previous experience as it features two bedrooms, a spacious living room, an outdoor garden, a balcony, as well as a dining area and bar.
