"NEW ZEALAND HOW ARE WE FEELING TONIGHT?" I shouted to the crowd, gaining a scream in response.

"Since this is our last show in this continent, I want to do something a little special before we get on a plane and your the rest of the world" I smiled. The crowd roared, obviously becoming excited for this little surprise.

"I have this song that I wrote a couple of weeks, maybe months back when Casey, you all know my girlfriend Casey?" The crowd screamed once more. "Well I wrote this song when Casey and I hit a rough patch in our friendship, we've both made mistakes since we met and I wanted to get my feelings down on paper" I sighed. "This isn't a happy song or a romantic one that I'm dedicating to her, it's one that is about her none the less, but one that showed my emotions through that time. I really think that you all and Casey need to hear it, I personally love the song, and I hope you will too" I said and I began strumming the chords to If You Don't Know.

It was weird playing through it, the crowd was silent, just listening to the words. And then I did it, I turned to see Casey in the crew box, tears brimming her eyes and a smile on her face. To be honest, I wasn't sure how she would take it, I mean the song was sad, how she ripped my heart out and stomped on it on the floor. But she needed to hear it, because it showed her that I loved her. That I felt so strongly about her that I had to go away for a few days and write a bloody soppy heart break song about her. That I took that time to fathom my thoughts into words to rhyme and make a song. That I put those words to some music and got the band to chip in on it.

It wasn't a mainstream style, romantic song like say 'beside you'. It was a song to say 'you hurt me, but I fucking love you so much I'm going to do this'.

But then again, Casey and I were not mainstream, we were different. We were a couple that knew it wouldn't be plain sailing, we knew that mistakes would be made, and had been made. And that's what I loved about us, the realistic views, the understanding that life isn't like it is in fairytales or in the movies, that both of us could get hurt, not just the girl. That problems couldn't just be fixed with a simple 'I'm sorry', but that both of us had to put the effort in.

We finished the song and said our goodbyes to the audience and left the stage. I saw a running figure making their way towards me, I opened my arms as soon as I knew that it was Casey, catching her in my arms as she flew and wrapped her arms around my neck, and her legs around my waist.

"I love you" she said as her head laid on my shoulder.

"I love you Casey Martin" I smiled and carried her to the exit.

"We're travelling the world tomorrow" she said

"It's crazy right?" I sighed.

"Yeah, but I'll be with you, so I'm happy" she giggled.

"Come on, let's get on the tour bus, it's driving us to the airport tonight, it's a very long drive" I sighed, carrying her towards the bus.

These next few months would be ones to remember.
