Reader's POV

Flashback

"Are you ready, (Y/n)?" Luther asked me as he bent down and allowed me to climb on his back.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I laughed.

"Up there!" A man yelled as he pointed to where Luther and I were on the roof of the bank.

"There's some movement on the roof Possibly law enforcement."

Luther backed up before running at full speed and jumping into the glass window on roof. Before he could make impact, I formed a shield around us to ensure we didnt get cut by any glass. We landed on top of a man holding a group of hostages cowering against the wall. I jumped off Luther's back and onto the counter, quickly forming shields around all of the hostages in the room as he attacked the robber we fell on.

"Guns are for sissies," Diego announced as he entered, "real men throw knives!"

He threw two of his signature knives forward. They curved and hit another robber square in the chest, throwing him against the wall.

"Get back you freaks!" The final robber said as he climbed onto the counter with me.

"Hey, be careful up there, buddy." Diego smiled.

"GET BACK NOW." He waved the gun at me desperately and I snickered in reply.

"Wouldn't want you to get hurt." Allison joined.

"-Or what?" Five sneered, appearing suddenly to where I was and scooping me in his arms.

The robber shot at us, but Five quickly teleported behind him, and placed me on the ground gently. While the robber was distracted, I took the opportunity to create a shield around his gun and float it away, replacing it with a stapler. The robber held said stapler up to Five.

"-Ooh! That's one badass stapler!" Five smirked before shoving it into the robber's forehead. He fell to the round with a lound 'thud.'

"Do I really have to do this?" Ben asked as he stood reluctantly in front of two glass doors.

"C'mon, Ben. There's more guys in the vault." Luther pushed.

I rubbed Ben's back sympathetically.

"It'll be alright."

He sighed angrily, "I didn't sign up for this..."

Ben closed the doors behind him. Shortly after the silhouettes of bodies and tentacles thrashing about were seen from behind the glass.

Ben exited the vault, covered with blood.

"Can we go home now?" He said with shaky breaths.

I giggled softly and took a handkerchief out of my pocket and wipe what I could off of Ben's face. He mumbled a soft 'thank you' and we all headed for the exit.

"People are coming out now. It's not the armed robbers- these are young schoolchildren in uniforms... with masks on-"

We stood on the steps of the bank in an orderly fashion as reporters flooded us with questions.

"I just wanna take a bath..." Ben whimpered from beside me.

"Let the reporters have their fun, when we get back to your guy's home I'll ask your mom if I can bake something for all of us." I offered.

Five, who was standing in the other side of Ben, listened in on our conversation, trying his best to not make it obvious. A few years had passed since he'd first met me, but his treatment towards me hardly improved. He was polite and courteous of me in front of others, but the two of us just didn't seem to click the way I did with the others. Hell, even Diego had warmed up to me.
