3rd POV

"(Y/n)?" Five called out and he circulated around the balcony for the third time. He could of sworn he heard her voice just moments ago.

"Miss (Y/n) left with your brothers not too long ago." Pogo informed him, coming into view and standing in the center of the entrance way.

"Well shit." Five mumbled in dissapointment.

It's not that we wanted to see her, he just thought his plan would execute more smoothly if she was with him. At least, that's what he told himself. It was definitely not because Five didn't get to finish what he was saying to her earlier and felt like if he didn't tell her he'd drown in frustration.

Five sighed angrily and thanked Pogo, then turned back to his room. There on the bed sat Delores, with the same pleasant smile permanently etched on her face. Five found comfort looking at her, just sitting there, content and unmoved by everything happening around her.

"Am I doing the right thing, Delores?" He muttered under his breath. His eyes softened as he continued to look over the mannequin's features as a particular memory of (Y/n) pulling her around in their little wagon resurfaced.

Naturally, Delores did not respond. But something about her being seemed sad.

Disappointed, even.

Five shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. "Never mind. Course' I am. It's for (Y/n)."

Right. (Y/n).

She'd gone through so much. Both of them had, but in the end it had always been (Y/n) supporting Five. Giving (Y/n) her old life back was the least he could do for her, right?

Five disregarded his worries and searched his room for something to write with as a new idea formed in his mind. He searched his desk for paper but ultimately decided what he had wouldn't be enough. This was going to be a complicated equation.

He took one last look at Delores and nodded determinedly. "Alright, let's get to work."

Flashback

"I think I could actually fall for him." (Y/n) sighed, throwing herself down onto Vanya's bed.

"Called it." Vanya snickered.

"What was that?"

"Nothing, sorry. Anyways, you were saying? You like Five, right?" Vanya sat down at next to (Y/n) and nudged her arm.

"Mhm."

She sighed. "I'm not good with feelings and things- That's more Allison's thing, but," Vanya stood up again and too both (Y/n)'s hands in hers, pulling her up. "If I were you, I'd tell him how I feel straight out. Five's tricky. He's stubborn and will try to avoid confrontation for as long as he can."

(Y/n) nodded, "I know. That's why I'm not sure how to go about it."

The two girls sat back down and began brainstorming together. Little did they know, a certain Hargreeves who can't keep a secret just happened to be listening from the other side of the door.
