Reader's POV
I woke up next to Five, his arm still draped over my torso. He was still knocked out, which was understandable considering our circumstances. A little pool of drool had formed on our shared pillow next to his mouth and I crinkled my nose up in disgust and amusement. Sleeping was the only time Five appeared to truly let his guard down, and if it weren't for the bit of blood spattered on his collar, I'd say he almost looked angelic. Moment like these always surprised me when it came to Five. He was always serious and stern, but his personality always switched to goofy and playful when it came to alcohol or lack of sleep. I personally thought it was cute.
I carefully removed his arm from it's position and climbed over him. I had slept in my uniform, so now it was wrinkled and folded weirdly in some places. I opened the closet and pulled out one of the several identical uniforms before stripping myself from the one I wore. After changing, I did my best to sneak out of the room without waking Five and headed to the kitchen, where Grace served me a plate of bacon and eggs. She informed me that Luther and Allison had already eaten before me, and Klaus was somewhere passed out on a couch. I finished eating and set off on my mini quest to find him.
Klaus layed in nothing but his underwear as he whimpered and pleaded in his sleep.
"Klaus?" I called out.
He jolted up, hyperventilating and looking around in alarm.
"Oh..." he panted.
"You okay?" I raised an eyebrow as he got up and began crawling towards his coat.
"Shut your piehole, Ben." He shouted as he sat up, "Said with love." Klaus blew a kiss in the direction of an empty seat before coughing.
"Ben? Is Ben here!?" My eyes darted towards the seat and back at Klaus.
"Yeah and he's being a pain." Klaus moaned as he pulled out a lighter. "Can't smoke eggs."
"What? Nevermind... hi Ben!" I waved excitingly at the seat I assumed Ben was in. Although I wasn't able to hear or see him, I had a feeling he said 'hello' back.
Klaus got up and moved to another room. He began rummaging through one of the glass cupboards, muttered to himself, while I climbed on top of one of the barstools in front of an elegant looking counter. Pogo entered the room and cleared his throat.
"Christ on a cracker! Pogo?" Klaus shouted dramatically.
"My apologies, Master Klaus. I have a query for you."
"Oh?"
"Items from your father's office have gone missing. In particular, an ornate box with pearl inlay."
"Really? You don't say. " Klaus said with false astonishment.
"Any idea where it went?"
"...No, no, no. No idea," Klaus sighed, "Sorry. Drop dead. Would you shut up!"
"Excuse me?"
"Pogo, I didn't mean you, I just... I- You know, there's been a lot of stuff I've been dealing with. Just a lot of memories coming up. All those good times. Well, not so good times as really awful, terrible, depressing times." Klaus rambled.
"The contents of that box are... priceless. Were they to find their way back to the office, whoever took it would be absolved of any blame or consequences."
"Oh, well, lucky bastard."
Pogo and I shared a knowing look and he clicked his tongue. "Indeed." With that, Pogo turned around and left Klaus and I alone once again.
