Reader's POV
Roughly 45 years later...
Years upon years had passed. Five and I had survived off of whatever we could manage to find. Our relationship steadily improved with time: by day we were bickering back and forth, by night I was falling asleep in his arms.
We were now the actual living embodiment of what Klaus had said to us years before.
"You two fight like an old married couple sometimes"
Well now we were... minus the "marriage"...and the "couple." We never really put a label on what we were, but it was somewhat romantic.
Five and I had been working for the commission for the last five years, but after giving it some thought, we decided it was about time we tried to get home again. The commission had basically saved our lives. When they took us in, Five had grown an impressive beard that hid most of his features while I'd thinned out from a lack of proper meals. They'd cleaned us up nicely and allowed for us to work as partners on missions.
Currently we were in the 1960's on the day of Kennedy's assasination, making sure that the event took place and nothing got in the way.
"This is it, (Y/n)" Five mumbled to me without looking up, "I think I've finally got the calculations right."
I smoothed out my vintage (f/c) dress.
"Hmm... I don't know darling, something about the numbers looked off. I bet Delores would agree with me."
"Nonsense." Five huffed. "Are you ready?"
I gave him a quick good luck peck on the cheek. "Ready as I'll ever be..."
Five clenched his fist together and attempted to open a portal. He struggled as it grew larger and larger. I could see the outline of a group of people staring at us. A fire extinguisher flew past me, almost hitting me in the head. Five quickly wrapped his arm around my waist and we flew into the portal as it closed behind us abruptly. We fell to the ground with a loud 'thud.'
Five stood up, panting heavily before immediately offered me his hand and pulling me up. I looked him up and down. A giddy smile crept onto my face.
"You did it..."
"Does anyone else see... little Number Five and (Y/n), or is that just me?" A grown up Klaus said as the Hargreeves slowly approached us.
Five looked down at himself then at me in confusion.
"Shit."
I laughed and clapped my hands excitingly.
"We did it! We did it! Oh my god, we're back!" I cheered as I ran around the yard.
"(Y/n)... oh my god, is it really you?" Vanya asked slowly.
"Vonnie! Ugh, I miss you so much, come here!" I smiled and rushed to give her a hug.
I looked up at the other siblings, who didn't quite know what to make of this situation.
"(Y/n)..." Diego mumbled.
