The hazy cyan of the sky was all that was in your line of vision now. Beads of salty perspiration trickled down the groves of your face as you stared out into that sky and felt your body losing what little heat it had left by the second. The breeze picked up the loose strands of your hair and allowed them to feel weightlessness, even if just for a moment. Weightless. That's probably the best word to describe this new sensation to you. And now you felt it, the warmth of your tears being the only thing giving your numbed face any sort of feeling. What is this? What is happening? The breaths you take became choppy and short, pain surging more with each new one you took. As the cyan sky gives way to a pure white, you swore you could feel a cold, calloused hand grace your cheek, followed by a familiar voice calling out to you.

    "(First)..."

     

    You see him. His charcoal black locks and luminous gray eyes are warm and almost feel like home to you. His touch used to be home to you. But it's not home any longer; it's deceit to you now. Lies and wicked intent bundled within a handsome vessel, that's all it was. Noble intentions and just actions had long been forgotten by this man. Now, this man simply made you want to close your eyes and forget that any of this was a true reality. You so longed for existence to have just been a memory. For his existence to be a memory.

     

    Hands can tell us so much about a person. They show us the wears of years of hard work and age. Hands show scars, each with a memory attached. Our hands show us what all we are capable of without uttering a single word to brag. They interlock perfectly somehow with other hands, able to love warmly and to harm harshly at the same time. This hand on you now, was a hand you wished to never feel the touch of again. This hand, had touched another in the way you wished to be touched. This hand, spoke falsehoods about affection and care towards you. This hand, how you despised it so. This hand, no longer was a hand of love. 

     

    The sun was not setting on this chapter of life; rather, the book itself was coming to a close. Exhaustion, along with fatigued muscles finally ceased to put up a fight any longer. Everything was fading, and fading fast. Gravity's force lifted its hand off of your damaged body, allowing you to float into the endless sea of after life, accepting the long awaited extended hand of Death so many others in the Survey Corps had held. His fingers caressed your face with care, his arms soon wrapping around you to relieve you of your pains. His hands felt so different than the ones that had previously touched you. Death doesn't lie; death is always honest without illusion. Death's hands felt warm, and you lost yourself the new eternal embrace. It was finally over, the hellish nightmare you endured known as life and reality. Now, it was time for the tables to be turned. Now, it was Levi's turn to experience agony.

     

    The hands of this man held your lifeless and bloodied remains, eyes glazed and mouth parted. His entire being began to tremble at the realization of the situation, you were gone. No goodbyes, no last words. Nothing. Never again would he be able to hear the sound of your voice or feel the comfort of your hand laced together with his. The opportunity for to say sorry and apologize was forever out of his grasp. All because he had felt another woman's touch, another woman's hands on himself, you left this world on bad terms with him. Hands had destroyed everything in his life, and now a titan's had left you mangled and lamented. If only his hands could have reached yours sooner, his entire world might not have been shattered. With an inferno in his heart, his hands touched yours for the last time as he wished your farewell to your next life, hoping that you would finally be relived of your pain.
