CHAPTER 16

CYNTHIA'S POV

Ba't ang tagal niya? Ni isang text man lang sana para sabihan ako na ma-le-late siya. Wala.

I was sitting alone on the table, sipping the second iced coffee that I ordered and waiting for Enzo to be here.

Isang oras na nakalipas pero wala pa siya.

I waited for a little longer and I started to play a game on my phone just to kill another time. Suddenly, my phone beeped as I got a text from Fia.

"Hoy!"

"Hoy rin! Anoo?"

"Kumusta pag-uusap niyo?"

I rolled my eyes and got annoyed even more. She didn't know Enzo wasn't here yet and so I said,

"Wala pa siya."

"Ay potek? Seryoso?"

"Oo. Mahigit isang oras na ata ako naghihintay dito. Parang tanga." I sent the message to her and I felt something build up in me. Inis. Sobrang inis.

Hindi porket ang daming nagkakagusto sa kanya, pwede na niyang gawin 'to sakin or sa ibang babae. Sobrang taas naman ata ng tingin niya sa sarili niy-

I was interrupted by the beep coming from my phone.

"Taena. Dapat kasi kanina ka pa umalis eh. Puntahan na kita." I hurriedly texted her back. Ayoko naman na pati kaibigan ko maghihintay rin.

"Hwag naaa! Okay lang. :)"

"Sure ka? Sabihan mo lang ako. Pupuntahan kita agad!" I smiled at the message. How do I get so lucky to have her.

"Opo. Thanks!!"

"No problem, girl. Kapag ako talaga nasa situation mo, umalis na ako kanina pa. Bahala siya sa buhay niya! My gosh." I quietly laughed at her text and I said,

"Oh? Ba't ka galet?"

"'Di ako galet!! SLIGHT lang!"

"Edi galit ka pa rin kahit slight lang."

"Eh nakaka-bwiset! Kahit isang text man lang or tawag to inform you! AY JUSKO HINDI TALAGA AKO GALITT!"

"Oo nga e! hindi halata, praaamis!"

We texted for a few minutes until such time, she said she had to continue to work out. I, on the other hand, sitting and waiting.

Almost 30 minutes later, a waiter approached me with a kind smile. I guess they had noticed that I've been sitting alone for almost two hours now. I even caught one of them whispering while looking at me.

"Hi, ma'am." He said, smiling down at me and I smiled him back.

"Hello." I said, politely.

"Um, hindi naman po sa nangingialam po ako pero..." he hesitated for a moment and continued afterwards. "Mag o-order pa po ba kayo?" he asked.

I stared at him. Just stared at him and I didn't know what to say but then he spoke again,

"Isa rin po 'yon na tanong ko pero ang totoo, may hinihitay po ba kayong dumating?" he asked again, politely.

I sighed deeply and I nodded at him.

"Oo. Sobrang late na rin siya ng 2 hours ata." I said and I smiled at him, slightly.

He nodded and he returned a smile. He asked once more if I was going to order again but I shook my head and he walked away.

Two hours. Or maybe almost two hours I waited.

I couldn't stop myself from getting so irritated and at the same time, mad.

Pinahintay ako ng ilang oras. Kung alam ko lang sa una na ganito mangyayari edi sana hindi ko nalang naging partner 'yon.

Ganon ba talaga 'yon?

Pinaghihintay niya talaga ang babae?

Porket gwapo siya i-te-take advantage na niya kagwapuhan niya para paghintayin ang babae?

Kung oo, ang kapal ng mukha niya dun part.

Sana hindi na siya magka-jowa.

Mabulok siyang maging single.

Sana-

I kept mumbling words until I finally decided to leave the café.

I stood up from my seat and put my bag over my shoulder. I walked towards the door and ready to leave while I was checking something inside my bag and suddenly, I bumped into something hard. Or, someone?

"Ompft!"

The guy I was bumped into wrapped his arms around me to keep me from falling on my butt. I held onto him and the guy spoke,

"Hey." He said, his voice was so soft and sounded apologetic. I moved my eyes up to his face and there he was as he spoke again,

"I'm sorry. My phone died and sobrang busy ko kanina." Enzo said with his voice and face so apologetic.

I almost forgot that I was so upset at him for making me wait for two freaking hours.

We stared at each other for a few seconds or let's just say a little longer while his arms were around me.

Until a swift movement, I pulled away from his grasp to stood up properly then suddenly, I walked past him as I started to head to my dorm, leaving him behind.
