CHAPTER 36 

CYNTHIA'S POV

Magandang tulog, magandang gising.

The next morning I woke up, as always, I took my time to get ready for school. As usual, I spent most of my time in the bathroom and when I was done, I did my morning routine.

I had no idea why I felt like this day would be great, exciting, even. Instead of putting all my attention on how I feel for the day, I sort all my things in my bag and walked out of my room.

After locking the door, I walked faster than my usual pace going downstairs to give my room key to Tita Mercy. I greeted her with a smile and when I was out, I started to walk towards the campus.

The cold breeze welcomed me and I couldn't help but crossed my arms over my chest while heading to my classroom.

How lucky when other students wore their sweaters, not bothered by the cold weather.

While here I was, walking alone with my long sleeves, skirt—just an each above my knees, two inches of heels, and a necktie.

Oo, suot 'ko na uniform ng campus. Noong una hindi ako komportable dahil sa heels pero hanggang sa nasanay na rin, okay lang naman.

Ganon naman, hindi ba? Habang tumatagal nasasanay kana sa isang bagay?

As I was about to get a hold of the doorknob of our classroom, a firm and attractive veiny hand appeared in front of me and opened the door.

I looked up to see Enzo opening the door and moved his head telling me to enter the room first.

I noticed the bruises on his face and narrowed my eyes at him. I wanted to caress his face and see how bad it was but I stopped myself.

Despite the bruises, the typical serious expression over his face still visible as his two friends were smiling at me behind him. Bruises also appeared on their faces.

Instead of asking them what happened, smiled at them back.

I noticed the students were not sitting in their usual seats so I asked one of our classmates the reason why.

"Biglang may pumuntang teacher dito kanina. Alphabetical arranged daw." My classmate said. I smiled and thanked her.

I spotted Fia pointing a seat next to her so I walked over and sat down.

"Dyan ka." She exclaimed, with a smirk over her lips and I shook my head at her, smirking. "And Eusaff will be sitting next to you." She added.

I chuckled when I noticed she rolled her eyes at me, playfully and I said, "Parang tanga 'to!"

She laughed slightly. "Char lang pero sana all pa rin." She exclaimed as I shook my head at her.

Suddenly, Eusaff appeared behind Fia then she stood up, smiling at each other. I raised my eyebrow at them as Fia went to her seat and Eusafff sat down next to me.

"Ganda talaga ng kaibigan mo." Eusaff said with a smile on his face. I smiled back at him and said,

"Kaya nga eh. Minsan nagtataka ako kung bakit wala siyang jowa. Aside from maganda siya, matalino, mabait, friendly—"

"Talaga lang ha? Walang jowa?" Eusaff exclaimed. I was looking at my friend talking to her seatmate then I turned my head to look at Eusaff.

"Oo nga. Sabi niya stress lang daw kapag may jowa." I shrugged but a smirk over Eusaff's face was still visible. So I asked,
