CHAPTER 18
ENZO'S POV
The day when she left me standing in the café after she bumped into me was slightly awkward since people in the café were staring at me.
I, on the other hand, just stared at her back while she was walking away.
Part of me wanted to follow her and apologize so badly for making her wait for two hours straight. It wasn't my intention to do that. Besides, I've never made any girl wait for me for such a long time.
Another part of me, just brushed it off since I had already apologized for what I did and explained myself to her.
After we bumped into each other, I made my way to the cashier and ordered myself a small cup of frappucino.
Slightly, I felt guilty for making her wait. However, again, I had already explained myself and apologize to her. Besides, she was my partner in that activity.
We still have a lot of time to work on it and make it up to her.
Make it up? To her? Why should I even do that?
Alone, while waiting for my order and having a deep thought in my friends and I's usual spot, a waitress walked towards me, smiling with my order in her hand.
She put down the cup on my table, slowly and smiled at me.
"Your order, Sir Enzo." She said, looking at me intently while the corner of her lips lifted.
"Thanks." I said, coldly while still looking out the window.
"Do you want anything else, Sir?" She said as her voice sounded so breathless. I shook my head and stood up from my seat while grabbing the cup then walked towards the exit of the café.
It was night time when Kuya Fernan drove me and dropped me off to Eusaff's place. I told him to just go home and he did.
Just right on time I got there, Kevin's car was parked in Tita Clairence's —Eusaff's mother, front yard and I heard a scream coming from Eusaff's room.
A scream when one of them was about to lose the game.
I pushed the button of the doorbell and Tita Clairence appeared in front of me with her normal sleepy eyes and sweet smile.
"Oh, Enzo! How are you, love?" She said as I stood there, smiling at her slightly while she pressed her cheek to mine.
"I'm good. How are you feeling po?" I asked, politely as I moved my eyes around their white-painted house.
"Never been better, anak. Nasa taas sina Eusaff and Kevin. Wait lang at tulungan ko si Aling Marie to ready the table. Dito na kayo kumain." She smiled.
I was about to protest and tell her I will have dinner at home but I remember Tita Clairence wasn't the type of woman who back out in an argument.
Instead, I told her that I will be upstairs with my friends and she agreed. I walked towards Eusaff's bedroom and once I was in front of his door, I knocked and a shout came from his room.
"Bobo neto. Ginagawa mo?" Kevin said as he was laughing at Eusaff.
"Shut up! Ngayon ko lang laruin 'to, tanga." Eusaff said as they both laughed and shouted.
They seemed to not hear the knock on the door so I pushed it open then closed it behind me. A horror game appeared in the big t.v screen of Eusaff's room as one of them said,
"Ikaw naman ang bobo. Saan ka pupunta?" Eusaff said. Both of them were too focused on the game as sipped on my frappucino, watching them.
It was dark in my friend's room and lights were off. The only source of light was the big t.v screen in front of us. I was sitting on a chair in the dark corner of Eusaff's room, drinking my frappucino.
