CHAPTER 19
CYNTHIA'S POV
On that Saturday night, I didn't walk alone going back to my dorm.
After bumping into Sebby or Sebastian—my childhood friend, he walked with me back to where I stay in.
We laughed a lot talking about the childhood memories we shared and also memories with other friends in our hometown.
He didn't change. He was still the same guy that I've known before. He was sweet, caring, kind, gentleman, funny, respectful and I guess he was the type of guy that every girl dreamed of.
When we were heading to my dorm that night, I noticed he couldn't take his eyes off me and there were times that I had to cover his eyes, playfully.
"May dumi ba ako sa mukha na hindi mo lang sinasabi?" I joked around. I wiped off my face with my handkerchief to take off the dirt.
"Wala." He said, smiling at me as he was holding my paper bag filled with snacks that I bought in the convenient store then he added,
"Hindi lang kasi ako makapaniwala. Tagal nating hindi nagkita." He said as if his voice was filled with admiration. He looked away from me and his eyes were looking straight ahead.
"Kaya nga eh. Hindi ka pa nagpaalam noong magha-high school tayo na mag-aaral kana pala sa ibang school." I said, laughing lightly and shook my head.
He was my ultimate best friend when we were in elementary school. We do have our circle of friends before but the bond we used to have was different from the others.
"Oo na, Cyndie. Ang importante nagkita tayo ulit." He chuckled and stopped in his tracks as we were in front of the building where my dorm was.
"Masaya ako na nakita ulit kita." I smiled up at him. As I was about to take my paper bag from him then suddenly, he leaned closer to me and wrapped his one arm around me and said,
"Ako rin. Namiss kita." He whispered in my ear and I briefly wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him back then I pulled away.
I laughed slightly and took my paper bag from him. We bid our goodbyes to each other and thank him from walking with me to my dorm then I went inside the building.
Tita Mercy—the woman who always in the lobby to monitor and give the keys of the people who stay in the building greeted me sweetly.
"Nagabihan ka ata, Cyn." She said while handing my key to me.
"School stuff at pumunta po ako sa condo ni Fia." I said as I took my key from her, smiling.
A few minutes later, I was in my room, locking the door and let myself land in my bed. I sighed deeply, relaxing for a while then I started to do my night routine.
When I was done, my phone vibrated on my bed. I thought it was Sebastian since he asked for my phone number when we were walking to my dorm and turned out it was Fia.
"Hoy!"
"Anooo?"
"Wala lang hahaha"
"Istorbo ka talaga manonood ako ng series e."
"Weh? Baka naman papanoorin mo phone mo expecting na magte-text sayo si Enzo. Magso-sorry ganon."
After reading her message, I never thought of Enzo sending me a message after the incident. After I waited for him for two hours. Now that Fia mentioned it,
I wonder if he was going to message me and at least ask what time we were going to talk about the activity.
Honestly, I told him we could discuss the activity through text but he offered to talk about it in person. In the café, to be specific.
