CHAPTER 33

ENZO'S POV

It has been almost an hour and the score was 15-7 since Kevin and I were playing Tekken in Eusaff's ps4. Kevin lost so many times in the game and didn't want to play anymore. Yet, I insisted.

Eusaff, on the other hand, was laying in his bed too focused on his phone.

I couldn't stop myself to feel grateful and smile to myself when Cynthia gave me medicines, small sizes of Vicks, and sterilize milk.

It was an exhausting day. Luckily, I read my notes every night just to familiarize some topics that our teachers discussed.

Eusaff was a hell of a lucky guy, he doesn't read his notes most of the time but managed to get high scores as possible without turning his head during exams and quizzes.

Kevin, however, read his notes after the discussion and I was certain, he still read them when he was at home.

The three of us have been on the list of With Honors ever since. Both of my friends' parents were so happy for them. Yet, my parents wanted me to be on the list of With High Honors.

They seemed happy though but I knew they expected something more from me by the slight smile they used to show towards me.

Now that I had started college, they didn't seem to pressure me when it comes to academics but more like business stuff.

At least by playing a game, my friends and I could take a rest from school but right now, the annoyance I felt grow even more when Kevin talked about her non-stop and it sounded, fake.

"Napaka-daldal ni Cyn. Parang hindi nauubusan ng kwento. I like it." Kevin said while looking at the T.V screen.

"Ganon naman talaga kapag close mo na yung tao, 'diba? Sa una kunware tahimik tas kapag naging ka-close mo na, ayon!" Eusaff said, still his attention was on his phone.

I stayed silent and just listen to their conversation. My eyes hurt already from rolling my eyes when Kevin repeatedly said he likes her.

If only you can put a thick layer of tape on someone's mouth.

"Enzo? Kumusta kayo ni Cynthia?" Eusaff asked. Laying on his back, behind us while we were on his bed.

"Baka si AJ talaga gusto mo." Kevin exclaimed with a teasing voice. I sighed deeply to calm myself and said,

"You know, if you really like someone, you wouldn't be dancing with any girl you meet at the club, 'diba Kevin?"

The atmosphere went silent. Deadly silent. All I could hear was the sound of the game from the T.V. No one dared to talk.

The game was still on. Kevin and I were still playing then suddenly, Kevin lost again.

"Was I dancing with someone?" Kevin asked.

"Were you that drunk that you can't even remember what happened?" I exclaimed, coldly.

"Hindi naman but-"

I cut him off.

"Pala eh. Then you knew what you were doing. Are you playing dumb again?"

His eyes slightly widened. Too shocked by what I just said.

"I'm not playing dumb, man. Tsaka saan ba patungo 'tong usapan na 'to?" Kevin exclaimed.

"My point is, may nililigawan ka. You gotta stick with that. Hindi yung pupunta ka sa club and dance with another woman. Stay faithful kahit nanliligaw ka palang."

"Okay, okay. Aaminin ko, kasalanan ko pero what is it for you?" The moment he said that I slowly turned my head in his direction.

What is it for me?

My eyes were blinking repeatedly, thinking what I should say next. I narrowed my eyes at him as I stared at my friend, intently.

"What is it for me?" I repeated. All of a sudden, my hands clenched as his eyes moved away from mine, looking at my clenched fist.

"Yes. Hindi ka naman niya kaano-ano or what. Ba't ka ba nagkakaganyan?" Kevin said, calmly. His eyes moved up to met mine. He was calm and collected while I was sitting next to him, angry.

Trying so hard to stay calm as possible, I sighed deeply and said,

"Have respect for Cynthia and yourself. That's all." I said, coldly. I heard a chuckle next to me and I furrowed my eyebrows to look at Kevin.

"Noted but you know, hindi naman masama kung nanliligaw ka palang at may ibang babae kang-"

Kevin didn't finish what he was about to say when I stood up from the bed.

Without knowing, I grabbed the collar of his shirt with my left hand as my right fist collided with his cheekbone so hard until he fell off the bed.

My mind and eyes went blank as Kevin and I were on the floor and I continuously punched him on the face. From behind me, I heard Eusaff was shouting and tried to grab me away from Kevin.

Suddenly, I felt something collided with my left cheek as Kevin punched me, as well. It wasn't that hard so I was still on top of him until I noticed a violet mark on his forehead and cheekbone.

But, I didn't care.

"Enzo! Stop!" Eusaff shouted. Another punch on my lip so hard as I fell back, laying on the floor with Kevin.

I wasn't finished yet.

He couldn't just disrespect Cynthia like that. Not just Cynthia but to any other girls. If Kevin thought it made him feel like a real man then he was freaking wrong.

Kevin slowly got up from the floor, groaning.

Eager to punch him again as I quickly got up from the floor. I was about to take another swing on him when Eusaff quickly jumped in front of me, gripping my wrists to stop me.

"Stop! It's a prank!" He said loudly on my face. My fist stayed in mid-air as furrowed my eyebrows at him, confused.

I darted my eyes to Kevin who was sitting on Eusaff's bed, smiling.

"A-ano?" I stuttered. I had no idea what to say. My eyes were moving back and forth to Eusaff and Kevin. I heard them chuckled then Eusaff patted the side of my face, gently.

"Tangina? Galit na galit?" He said, laughing.

As Eusaff massaged my shoulders to calm me down, suddenly, I swing my fist once again and instead it collided to Kevin's face, it landed on Eusaff's, intentionally.
