CHAPTER 17

CYNTHIA'S POV

I was really upset.

I couldn't take the eyes staring at me for the whole two hours that I was sitting alone in the café. It made me so uncomfortable.

I knew I should've left sooner but every time I was about to leave, I kept saying to myself,

"Baka meron na siya mamaya."

Do I have the right to be upset?

He did try to explain himself but at that time, I wanted to get out of that café so badly. My feet seemed like it has its own life and just walked back to my dorm continuously.

He didn't stop me. It wasn't like the sweet dramatic moments when the guy tried to stop the girl by pulling her back to him. No.

I bet Enzo wasn't that kind of guy after all.

A few minutes of walking, I thought I was walking back to my dorm and it turned out I was walking to Fia's condominium.

I needed someone to talk to. Just to let out the annoyance that has been built up in me.

Once I was inside the building, the guards and the employees greeted me and I greeted them back with a smile, to hide the annoyance I felt.

I got in the elevator and pressed the floor number where Fia's condo was. A few minutes later, the elevator door opened and I started to walk towards my friend's condo unit.

I knocked on her door three times and I heard footsteps coming towards the door.

When the door swung open, I was about to let myself in and ready to rant about what happened. I was expecting Fia would rant also but no, instead, I stood still on the doorway. With wide eyes.

I was too surprised and confused to see the person in front me that I couldn't even open my mouth to ask why he was inside my friend's condo unit.

"Eusaff?" I asked with almost my voice sounded like a whisper.

"Hey... Cynthia! Kumusta ka?" Eusaff said and chuckled embarrassedly.

I stared at him in shock as he couldn't look at me straight in the eyes. He stepped aside to let me in and I walked into my friend's condo unit.

I had two ideas about why Eusaff was in Fia's condo;

Una: Mag-partners sila sa activity na gagawin for two months. Baka pinag-usapan nila 'yon.

Pangalawa: Baka—Okay, ayokong isipin na 'ganon' kaya dun ako sa unang idea.

But by the look of Eusaff's crumpled shirt, it seemed like Fia and Eusaff fought or God knows what they did.

I shook my head to get rid of the thought and I started moved my eyes around the room to look for Fia but then I heard the sound of the shower in her room.

Suddenly, I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at Eusaff who was leaning against the counter while he was looking back at me.

"So..." Eusaff said as he sat down on one of the barstools.

"May ginawa na kayo?" I asked, politely while sitting down on a barstool, facing him. Only the counter was in between us.

I didn't answer my question right away. He chuckled and a smirk appeared on his face then said,

"Meron na. We had—"

A surprised female voice spoke behind me as Eusaff and I darted our eyes to my friend Fia who was wearing a bathrobe and a towel wrapped around her head.
