CHAPTER 8 

ENZO'S POV

All we did the whole day was introduce ourselves and took some notes. We didn't do much aside from Eusaff who sat next to Fia.

Eusaff managed to add another chair between Fia and the other girl who seemed to enjoy Eusaff's presence even though she wasn't the one that he came for.

Cynthia, on the other hand, I noticed the smile on her lips while looking at the two talking and joking around.

Perhaps, the two were lucky enough not to mention them by the teacher in class for talking too much. Kevin and I just sat at the back writing and minding our own business.

Speaking of 'presence', we stopped by the canteen to eat. Kevin left his wallet in Eusaff's car so they went to the parking lot to get it and I was sitting alone in the canteen, waiting for them.

I was too focused on my phone that I didn't even look up to see whose presence sat in front of me.

"Hey." A female voice said but I didn't bother to look away from my phone and said,

"Yes?" I said, drily.

"Sungit." She said, laughing slightly.

"Excuse me?" I looked at the girl who was smiling at me with her teeth showing.

"Alexis." She smiled at me and extended her hand.

I looked at the hand in front of me and thought to myself whether if I take a hold of it or not. Instead, I also extend my hand to shake hers.

"Nice to meet you." I tried to lift the corner of my lips and looked down again to my phone and scrolled through my social media.

She giggled. I felt her body leaned towards me, too close that I didn't have personal space. She cleared her throat but didn't dare to look at her.

What does she want?

I focused my attention on the screen that I was looking at as if the girl in front of me wasn't even there. I don't know what she was up to but I could care less.

She cleared her throat once again but now, I looked at her. Our faces were too close so I leaned back to my chair and stared at her.

"What is it that do you want?" I tried to ask politely. Furrowed my eyebrows while looking at her.

She shrugged and leaned back to her chair. A smile still appeared on her face and said,

"Wala. Gusto ko lang sabihin na, you don't have to stare at me the entire time."

I stared at her, cluelessly, and crooked my head in confusion.

What?

"Pwede mo naman ako i-approach. Napansin ko na you've been looking at me noong last subject." She shrugged with a smirk on her face.

What in God's name....

"So, ako na nag-approach sayo. Ako na nag-adjust." She stood up from her seat, smiling.

She walked towards me and leaned down, kissing my cheek and said,

"Bye, Enzo." She whispered in my ear and walked away with her friends, giggling.

Naisip niya talaga yun? Damn.

I shook my head to push away the thought and waited for my friends to come back.

A few seconds later, a pat on my shoulder coming from behind and I looked up to see my friends, grinning at me.

"Nakuha niyo na yung wallet?" I asked. I stood up and walked over to the cashier. "C'mon. Nagugutom na rin ako."
