Thief

You awoke the next morning to the sound of water running in the bathroom. Must've been Sakura washing her hands or something.

You slowly opened sat up, letting your eyes adjust to the room's bright light.

Shit.

Something was different. There was only one bed.

"Sakura?!" You called out.

Shit.

You pinched yourself at a desperate attempt to wake up from this terrible dream.

"saKuRa?!" You yelled again.

"She's not in here."

Shit.

"Sensei?" You gasped jumping out of the bed. Quickly, you analyzed everything. The bed was a mess on both sides, his clothes were strewn on the floor. What the hell happened?

You checked to make sure your underwear was still on, and breathed a sigh of relief when it was.

"Are you okay?" Your teacher asked, crossing the room. He was wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt and his signature mask.

"W-what happened last night?" You asked getting out of the bed.

"You mean you don't remember?" You could hear the smirk in his voice.

SHIT.

"No? Please don't tell me we–"

"Kissed."

You breathed a sigh of relief. You remembered that. But did anything else happen?

"I know that! But why was I in here?"

"You started falling asleep, but didn't have the key to get back into your room, so I let you sleep in here." He stated simply.

"You slept i-in the bed w-with me?" You timidly inquired.

"Of course." He shrugged blatantly.

You felt like you could faint. Like just fall on the floor and pass out.

Thoughts of him sleeping in the bed next to you made your heart skip a beat.

"(Y/n), I'm just kidding." The jōnin laughed.

"Wait what?" You wanted him to elaborate.

"Yeah, there's a couch right there." He shrugged. You looked at the couch and noticed the indentations from his body sunk deep in the couch.

"Oh." You felt relieved, but slightly wondered what it would've been like to sleep next to him.

"Oh? You sound almost... disappointed?"

You regained your composure. "What? No."

"Hmm?" He hummed as he lifted your chin so you could look him in the eye. "Is that what you wanted though?" His voice was soft and calm.

You pulled away from him in embarrassment. "No." You felt a blush creeping onto your face.

"But you do remember last night though? I don't want it to seem like we did something you didn't consent to."

You thought back to the balcony, and the moon, the conversation, and, "The kiss. Yeah, I remember." You felt a blush dusting your cheeks.

"Did you want to talk about it?"

You looked to the door, wanting nothing but to escape from this awkward situation. "I think I should try to get back into my room with Sakura. Bye, Sensei."
