POV: Infinite
Chaos, that wolf has been asking too many questions...
No wonder why my head hurts.
He was about to ask another one before I interrupted him, "Just, stop." I sighed, "My head is killing me"
"Sorry..." The wolf sheepishly rubbed his arm and backed away to the window, giving me space to breathe.
During the time he asked questions I was given breakfast by the nurse, even when I was eating the wolf wouldn't shush for two minutes. I appreciated the silence much more after seeing how hyper that wolf can be at times.
When time passed, I needed the bathroom, which would now be hard with the fact that the wolf will not stop following me wherever I go now. I sat up in bed and threw my legs to the floor, I grabbed my mini monitor and stood up slowly to not cause more pain in my head. This obviously caught the attention of the wolf, he ran to me - and before he could question what I was doing I swiftly got my answer in.
"Bathroom." I narrowed my eyes.
He also narrowed his eyes, "What for? To cut?"
I growled, "No, you dumbass! To actually go to the bathroom."
"Alright, alright" The wolf held up his hands in surrender before letting me leave - even though the bathroom door is beside my bed, so I didn't need to walk far. I walked inside and got a little paranoid that he'd sneak a peek inside so I locked the door to curb my anxiety and went.
I came out and sat down on my bed with my monitor beside me, I stretched and looked at the clock; 12:03.
"When can I leave?" I asked the wolf, who was looking me over incase I did cut in there - which I didn't.
"Should be soon, the nurse should be here" he responded and sat beside me, I tensed up at the sudden closeness but ignored it.
"And just how are you going to conceal me from the world outside?" I scoffed.
"Well, I can grab a hoodie from my apartment and come back here, you can wear it to hide your identity" he explained. "I'm sure you're not the only jackal in the world, Infinite, if anyone questions who you are I'll say you're just a regular citizen"
He's planned this for sure.
But I'm doubtful it'll work.
"And what of the Resistance?" I raised a brow.
He sighed, "They don't know where I live, and they only call me out for missions every once in a while, so I'll try to hide you from them too if they happen to find the apartment - which I'm doubtful of"
I hummed and nodded, "Fine then"
"My name's Gadget, by the way" he introduced himself. "I get referred to as "rookie" in the Resistance, but Gadget is my real name"
I glanced to the floor. "Infinite isn't your real name either, is it?" Gadget sighed.
"It's a fake name" I explained. "I kept my real name hidden because I felt ashamed, weak"
"What is your real name?" Gadget asked curiously.
I closed my eyes, "Zero..."
Gadget smiled warmly, his amber eyes shone brightly, "That's a wonderful name"
I glanced at the door as it was creaked open, the nurse walked inside, "Are you ready to leave?" she asked while taking off the stickers and wires attached to my chest and wrists.
I nodded, though not taking my gaze off the floor.
Gadget glanced at me then to the nurse, "So he's okay to go?" he asked.
"Yes, I reviewed the recordings of his heart and it's normal, and going by the head injury it's not that severe, all he needs is rest and to not put much strain on his chest or head - so no carrying heavy weights or extremely hot showers" she confirmed sternly.
"Got it" Gadget grinned.
I nodded again, "Thanks...I guess..."
The nurse smiled before leaving me and Gadget alone again. Gadget stood up, "Well then, I'll go quickly grab a hoodie and then we'll leave, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, go" I rolled my eyes and layed down on the bed - wire free.

Gadget took less than 10 minutes which surprised me at how fast he was or if his apartment was just really close by.
He entered the room with a large purple hoodie, "Here, this should fit you" he handed me the hoodie.
I nodded and slipped on the hoodie, surprisingly it did fit me snugly, which is shocking because Gadget is smaller than me. However it did carry his scent, which makes me wonder if this was his comfort hoodie. I pulled up the hood, tucking in my long hair, the hood itself draped over my forehead and hid my scar, I just kept my eyes to the ground as much as possible so no one could see my hideous eyes.
"Let's go" Gadget beamed and walked out of the room. I followed behind him and closed the door to the room.
The hospital wasn't as busy as I originally thought it would be. I kept my head low but still high enough to see where Gadget was going - albeit it was hard to loose the wolf due to his bright red fur. As we left the hospital, I didn't get any stares or whispers so far, which was an internal relief.
The walk to his apartment was slow but the fresh air was soothing, I glanced at the rebuilt city, it was nearly unrecognisable at first glance.
Large buildings towered in the sky and rows of houses littered the city as people returned to their ordinary, everyday lives.
As I approached a large building, Gadget motioned me to come inside and into an elevator where he took us to the second floor and into a small apartment that is his own. I pulled down my hood and looked around, it was small but somehow comforting.
Gadget locked the door behind him, "Feel free to look around" he said as he entered the kitchen.
I nodded and walked around the place, nothing was of interest to me but it was good to learn my surroundings anyway. When I finished looking around I sat down on his couch and Gadget sat beside me, "Here" he passed me a glass of water.
"Thanks..." I muttered and took the glass, sipping on it gradually.
Gadget turned on the TV and flicked through the channels, I occasionally glanced at it but my thoughts were in another place right now.
Once I finished my glass of water I stood up to go to the bathroom, again being stopped by Gadget on my way there.
"I'm merely going to the bathroom, wolf" I spoke defensively. "You don't need to question it every time" I scoffed.
"I'm just checking on you" Gadget sighed before walking to the living room again.
I entered the bathroom to do my business before wandering about stuff I was told not to do. I still had the bandages over my left arm,
I wonder...
