I used a free 3D architecture software to design the individual rooms, a similar program to Paint for the deck cutaways, and Sketchbook/Artist Desk for the StarKiller in toto. There are influences from Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Firefly, Andromeda, and many others.

I went with the multicolored panels with a matte finish because although space is dark, it is by no means empty or purely black. If you look up at the StarKiller from a planet, you won't see it - but you'll see its effect as it "kills" a sun or star as it passes by on its travels.

I haven't finished working out the numbers, but imagine the Enterprise, NC1701-D, times 15 (I say 15, because 1000 hosted, 5000 crew, and their friends and families would put us roughly around 15-16,000.)

There are so many more things we can pursue with this book, this story, and this cast of characters. It is my sincere hope that you enjoy it and find yourself flying through the stars as I once did when I was nothing more than a child, first introduced to science fiction, fantasy, and space operas!
