Unexpected Guest

The entire room is completely filled with silence.  Eres led me to the sofa and let me sit. No words came out of him since he saw me on the floor, crying while reading his journal. He didn’t even try to retrieve the journal from me.

He sat across me watching me as I continue reading the journal. Patuloy lang ako sa pagbabasa kahit na alam kong tinititigan niya ako. May luha mang lumalabas mula sa aking, may ilang pagkakataon na namang napapangiti dahil sa binabasa ko lalo na sa nakasulat sa unang pahina kanina.

January 24, 2XXX

This is my first time writing a journal. It sounds so gay but I can’t help it, I want to treasure every moment I see her. A girl named Gezeth Avril suddenly appeared in front of me, offering me a candy. She’s around 10, I guess and she’s weird. She followed me all day, I even tried to scare her but no use, she only laughed and called me idiot. I am definitely older than me, hundred of years older than her. Her blood seems so delicious and fresh, but there’s something keeping me from harming her. In the end of the day,I end up having the candy she’s offering me.

Hindi malinaw sa akin ang araw na iyon. But I do remember meeting a man and offering a candy. Pero malabo, sumasakit ang ulo ko kapag pinipilit kong alalahanin ang mga pangyayaring iyon. But I didn’t know Eres can write a journal about me.

January 29, 2XXX

I’ve seen her again after five days. Parang akong nakahinga ng maluwag ng muli ko siyang makita, why the fuck I am behaving this way? She’s a kid for pete’s sake. I saw her on the playground, sitting on the swing while looking up in the sky. Tila malalim ang iniisip. Gusto ko siyang lapitan pero parang hindi ko kaya. The sun was about to set. It’s almost dark yet she seems doesn’t mind it. Hindi ko siya magawang iwan dahil baka mapahamak siya. I just watched her looking up on the sky like a lost child.

Hindi ko namamalayan na pinapanood niya pala ako mula sa malayo. Hindi ko alam na mayroon palang isang taong nagbabantay sa akin. Hindi ako nilapitan o tinanong man ng kahit ano ni Eres, tahimik niya lamang akong pinapanood at hinahayaang matuklasan ko ang mga bagay na iniisip niya tungkol sa akin.

Gulat, kaba, pagkabigla, at hindi makapaniwala sa mga nababasa ko. He’s been with me all this time. He was following me like my shadow, protecting me unknowingly.

February 18, 2XXX

She left her home. I want to help her, take her away from her stepmother and sister and put her under my protection. Pero alam kong mas mapapahamak siya pag nasa akin siya. There’s a lot of carriers following her. Sinubukan kong labanan ang ibang mga carriers, but two of them slipped.

But I admire her bravery, she never let her hear eat her. I’ve been following her for almost 8 years. I saw her at her worst, so as her best. She was fighting in her own way and I admire her for that. I want to protect her at all cost, even if it’s protecting her in shadows without her knowing.

I was about to go near her and help her, when Medina appeared. Her protector. She also warned me not to get near her for her safety and I understand that.

I received a report about the so-called prince of the vampire having a human under her protection and it’s no other than Gezeth. Frustration filled me up. Now protecting her will be hard for me and getting near her especially when that fucking Wizus is around is also impossible for me. Why would a lord be interested to a human under her care suddenly? The council will interfere and I have my people who trust me as their lord.
