Himiko's POV
"So this is your house?", asked Kokichi. "Got a problem with it?", I snapped. "Nope. It just looks different than what I imagined."
"What were you imagining?" "A cottage, considering you're a witch and all." That made my blood boil. "I'm not a witch! I'm a mage!"
Kokichi giggles. "I know. Just wanted to see you make that cute angry face."
I felt my face warm up. "No stop it! Don't let him get to you!" "Whatever. Let's just go inside." I took out my keys and unlocked the front door. We walked in and sat at the dining table. "Have a seat", I say. He takes out his math textbook "So, how good are you with math." "Of course it's math he sucks at." I take out my textbook as well. "Which part are you struggling with?"Me and Kokichi studied together for about an hour and a half. Turns out he was struggling with fractions. It was frustrating to explain it to him, since he jokes around way too much. Eventually he got the gist of it.
"Wow! This turned out different than I expected!" "You said the same thing about my house. What reason could you possibly have for tutoring?"
Kokichi slouched back in the chair. "I thought this was boring, but it turned out to be fun!" "How come?" "Cause you were the one teaching me."
My face heated up again. "Why do I keep blushing?! And to him of all people!" Kokichi then stood up and picked up his bag. "It's been fun, but I've gotta ride." I raised an eyebrow. "So soon?" "Yeah. I mean, I could stay longer, but then you'd have to think of an explanation for your parents on why you, a girl, have me, a boy, in your house."
I was confused on what he meant, until my face went red for the third time today. "What?! No! I don't think of you that way!" Kokichi gave me a smug grin. "I was talking about your parents, not your feelings towards me." I pulled my hat down to cover my face. "Welp, smell ya later."
I wanted to stop him. Truth is, I felt lonely, and it was nice to have some company, other than Tenko and Angie.Kokichi's POV
I was about to open the front door until I heard Himiko say something. "My mom isn't coming home until late afternoon, so don't worry about her." I sat froze. Was she trying to get me to stay? I turned around. "So you're feeling lonely? Well, then I guess I could keep you company for some time."
I swore I saw a smile creep onto her face. "So, you want anything to drink?" I thought for a moment. "You got any grape panta?" Himiko shook her head. "Then no thanks."
We decided to go to her lab. There were a lot of interesting stuff in here. "It's a bit dark in here. A girl as pretty as you needs some sunlight." "P-pretty?", she stuttered. I giggled.
You've probably realized I flirt with Himiko a lot. It's nothing romantic, I just like teasing her. Why her? Well, if it were Angie, she'd probably find a way to bring up more of her Atua crap. Tenko would beat me up. Kaede wouldn't do anything, but her boyfriend might. Miu is too weird. Same with Tsumugi. But Himiko, she's the perfect teasing victim.
For the rest of the day, me and my possible new friend conducted some fun experiments. I never thought magic could be so fun.
In fact, I never thought spending time with Himiko could be fun.
