The Corrupted Princess

Light thunder echoed in the distance of the Corrupted Kingdom. In the darkly coloured castle was the King and Queen, looking down at their new-born daughter. Standing next to the cradle was the baby's older half-sister, Chrissy.

The baby had dark purple hair and yellow eyes, along with pale skin.

Queen Maya smiles down at her new daughter. "What should we name her, hun?" Maya asks her husband who rolls his eyes.

"I don't know" he shrugs. Maya frowns. She knows how much James wanted a boy to take the throne next. In all royal traditions, the first born is always next in line for the throne, but Chrissy was not the King's daughter, so she wasn't next in line, instead, it was their new daughter.

"What about Lauren, mummy?" Chrissy asks.

Maya smiles, "Good idea sweetie!" she smiles.

James scoffs, "Yeah, okay" he says before leaving the room. Maya sighs. "Maybe he'll get used to having two little girls... maybe..." she mumbles to herself while taking baby Lauren out of the cradle and hugging her.

Lauren stands in the corner of her room. Chrissy was outside the room, trying to get in so she could check on Lauren, but she would not open the door for her older sister. It's been 2 years since their mother passed away while giving birth to their brother, Ryan.

"Please, let me in Lauren!" Chrissy tries to plead with her.

Lauren shakes her head, "No..." she mumbles.

Lauren knew that if she ever left her room, she would be at risk of her father's verbal abuse. It's very clear that Ryan is the favourite child. Their father got the son he wanted but is still furious that Lauren is next in line for the throne. He hasn't gotten over it.

Lauren picked up her head and saw herself in the mirror. Her reflection was showing that she was in her corrupted form, but she wasn't. Lauren had once lashed out at her father and unlocked her corrupted form.

She knows that it won't be long until she becomes the Corrupted Princess she is meant to be.

Lauren watches from the corner of the wall as her father and younger brother play in his bedroom. Lauren wished that her father would see that she wasn't a mistake, but she knew that wouldn't happen. She also wished that her mother was still alive.

She huffs before walking down the hallway and to her room. Ryan has picked up a lot from their father's verbal abuse to Lauren and Chrissy and has started swearing at his sisters too. Their dad does nothing about it, he just laughs and applauds his son.

Lauren throws herself into her bed and closes her eyes. It's clear that nothing's going to change, and she's learning to accept that.

Lauren walks into school, completely ignoring everybody who tries to talk to her. The corrupted side of her is taking it's full affect now. Lauren has started being mischievous, threatening to throw people off balcony's, even almost throwing Ryan off the balcony, which resulted in some abuse from her father.

She throws her locker door open, smacking somebody in the face with it, taking her books and walking off without even looking at the person she hit with her locker door.

Chrissy has tried to reason with her, but Lauren's corrupted side has almost completely taken over her at this point, and she's only 9 years old.
