----- Castle Firestone ~ Mesa Kingdom -----
The group look around as they walk up to the front door where the chamberlain is waiting for them. The entrance to the castle was comprised of red terracotta, coming from the Mesa's surface, but it was polished down, shinier than ever before. The chamberlain bowed down to the 3 royals before waving them along with him to the meeting room.
Scott examined the communication bracelets he was given last night. He hadn't tested them yet, so he had no idea how they worked, or if they would actually work like the magic user said. He had to just wait and see. He had everything he needed to sign this alliance, so now he just needed to wait until they arrived.
About 5 minutes later, the Chamberlain had brought the group to the meeting room where his King was waiting for the royals to arrive. Stopping at the large double oak doors, he took a deep breath.
"Wesley, do you mind waiting out here?" Shelby asks.
"Are you sure, Queen Shelby?" he asks.
"Of course! I'll be fine, don't worry. If anything happens, you'll be outside the room" Shelby smiles. Callum nods, "Harold, can you wait here too?" he asks.
Harold sighs, "Very well, King Callum. Would you like us to watch Princess Cady while you are both in there?" he asks.
Callum looks at Cady, "Do you mind waiting here with the guards, Cady? I'll be no longer than 20 minutes" he says.
"Okay bro!" Cady smiles, letting go of her brother's hand.
Callum nods to Shelby while standing up, and then they nod to the chamberlain, who also nods, turning to the doors, pushing them open and announcing their presence.
"Presenting, Queen Shelby of the Desert Kingdom, and King Callum of the Volcano Kingdom" he says, walking in to stand next to Scott.
Scott raises his head and looks at the two royals. "Come on in" he says with a smile.
Shelby and Callum walk in, closing the doors behind them. Turning around, Shelby takes a few moments to examine the Mesa King. He looked to be about the same age as she did, but so did Callum. She didn't know much about the royals outside of the Desert, so she had no idea when they became King or Queen of their own kingdoms.
Taking their seats, Scott turns to the chamberlain. "You may leave" he smiles.
The chamberlain nods and heads out, closing the doors behind him as he leaves.
"Alright. It's great to meet you both. I'm King Scott of the Mesa Kingdom, but you can just call me Scott" Scott introduces himself. Shelby smiles, "It's great to meet you too, King Scott! I'm Queen Shelby of the Desert, just call me Shelby" she says.
Callum smiles and introduces himself too, "And I'm King Callum of the Volcano Kingdom, call me Callum" he nods.
The 3 royals nod to one another. "Let's get down to business, shall we?" Scott says, "I am willing to arrange for our kingdoms to be allies. Part of my decision about this came because of the new group that has formed between 3 kingdoms. The Alpine, the Birch and the Jungle. Shelby, I know that your kingdom and the Alpine have had problems in the past" Scott says.
Shelby's lips curve into a frown. She hated being reminded of the wars with the Alpine. "S-Sorry" Scott apologises.
Shelby shakes her head, "No no, it's okay... Wait, did you say the Jungle?" Shelby asks.
Scott nods, "Yes, why?" he asks.
"Nothing..." Shelby says, taking a shaky breath in while keeping her posture straight.
