Chapter Seven- Life or Death

---------- Corrupted Kingdom -----------

Lizzie hides behind a dead tree as she peers into the Corrupted Kingdom. The army was very close to the Kingdom gates now. "Okay everyone, are you ready?!" Lizzie shouts.

"We're ready!" the army calls back.

"Then let's go!" she shouts again, pumping her fist into the air. The army begins charging towards the gates, catching the attention of the guards that were standing on and around the gates. "Attack!" one of them shout and all of the guards at the front. Lizzie jumped off of her horse and got into a sword fight with one of the female guards.

CLASH!

Lizzie and the guard's sword's struck each other and Lizzie pushed with all her might, throwing the guard off of her before going in to attack her fully. Lizzie's sword narrowly missed going through the guard's chest. She could see Joel and Oli fighting some guard nearby.

A growl emitted from Lizzie's chest as she kicked the lady down and stabbed her through the chest.

After about 10 minutes of fighting the guards at the front gate, the army got through and started charging towards the castle, fighting other guards that tried to get in their way. No doubt the news had gotten to the Corrupted Queen by now.

In the castle, Lauren turned her attention to a guard who rushed into the throne room. "Your Majesty, Queen Elizabeth and her army have arrived to take back Princess Maddie" he says in a panic.

"Gather all the guards, they can't get to her" Lauren growled, jumping off of her throne, grabbing her sword and heading out of the castle.

Back with the Army, Lizzie was on the ground, fighting a guard who was standing above her. Somehow through, she won against him. Standing up and moving out of the way of the fallen body, she turned to another guard who tried to sneak attack her and put her ice sword through his chest.

Lizzie smirked and waved the army to follow her once they were in a little bit of a clearer area. Joel and Oli walked next to her, all of them holding their own swords. Every step the army took brought them closer to the castle, and closer to their target. Lizzie just couldn't wait to find out if her sister was safe and alive.

Lauren lead her army towards Lizzie's path and the two army's met about 3 quarters of the way to the castle. The two Queen glared at each other.

"Well, well, look who it is" Lauren smirks, "Queen Elizabeth and her army" she says, stepping closer.

"Back up!" Lizzie shouts, aiming her icy sword at the Corrupted Queen, "We don't have time to deal with your shenanigans. Hand over my sister, and I'll consider leaving your kingdom alone" Lizzie says, narrowing her eyebrows.

Lauren chuckled, "Oh please, you think I'm going to give up that easily? You haven't met the real me, Elizabeth" she smirks.

Lizzie growls and charges, having enough of the Corrupted Queen's antics. The two clash swords and begin their large battle while the others fight the opposite side of guards. Lizzie pushes her leg out and trips Lauren up, sending her to the ground, but she rolls out of the way as Lizzie's sword soars down towards her head.

Lauren jumps up quickly and slashes Lizzie, just as Lizzie also slices Lauren, giving both of them a scar on their body. Both of them paused to grip their wounds before getting right back into it. The main sounds that could be heard were yells of triumph, pain, anger and the clashes of weapon's, swords, bows, spears.

Back in the castle, Chrissy sighs, she hated the thought of war. All the Alpine Queen wanted was her sister to be returned safely to her, but Lauren was not having any of it. Chrissy didn't know the reason why Lauren needed Princess Maddie, but she knew it couldn't be good news. Chrissy couldn't just hand Maddie back over without risking Lauren turning and fighting her.
