SIERRA
"On behalf of our prince, I, Elder Alarick hereby declare Luna Aurora's son, Connor Lupe as the new Alpha of Blue Moon Pack. Conan Lupe was the one to break the mate bond, therefore, losing his position as the Alpha but his mate will still be their pack's unofficial Luna till Alpha Connor finds his mate."
I watch as Connor makes a cut in his palm and lets it mix with all the five elders' blood, forming a new bond, an Alpha bond. Then he mixes his blood with Fenris's to strengthen his bond with the future Alpha King of Recrania.
I am once again seated between Christine and my mom watching my mate perform all those rituals. I am restless. I want to claim him, now.
As if listening to my prayers, Elder Alarick motions for all the Alphas to come forward and then tells Fenris to get me. I quickly stand up and meet Fenris halfway not at all deterred by a few chuckles and whispering.
Fenris smiles at my excitement, his own shining in his eyes and I put my hand in his as we walk together to stand between the elders and the Alphas. As Fenris is the Alpha Prince, all the Alphas and elders are supposed to sacrifice their blood as consent to his mating.
Elder Alarick carries a bowl in front of us and tells us to cut our palms. Fenris first makes his cuts, twice since he heals faster than everyone and then he gives me the knife to cut. I let my blood mix with his and watch as a spark ignites in the bowl. I look at Fenris in surprise but he just smiles reassuringly.
"You both accept the bond. The sparks formed when your blood intermingled shows that your souls are ready to be tied," explains elder Alarick and then proceeds to keep the bowl on a table on the side. One by one every Alpha and elder come forward to give their blood in selfless sacrifice, to ask for the Moon Goddess's blessings for our mating.
Alpha King Aryan also comes forward and offers to sacrifice his blood as a sign of friendship. Fenris nods his agreement, we both thank him for his sacrifice after which he proceeds to cut his palm.
I am holding Fenris's hand when suddenly I feel a shock-like sensation running through my body. It is like the zip of electricity; the tingling sensation has tripled in intensity as we both hold on to each other seeking comfort as well as anchoring each other.
"May the moon Goddess bless you with love, fertility, and happiness. I now pronounce Fenris Vlček and Sierra Vlček as true and bonded mates," praises Elder Alarick and the crowd once again bows down on one knee with their heads lowered. Even the Alphas are on their knees, accepting him as the King of Wolves of Recrania.
Fenris twirls me in his arms and presses his lips on mine so fast that it takes a few seconds for me to register and then I'm the one kissing him fervently. Only when our lips separate does Fenris release me and then the crowd stands back on their feet. I frown at their prolonged bow.
"It is tradition to kiss the mate and a King doesn't allow his people to see the passionate side of his mate," a whisper echoes off in my mind making me startle. It is like Fenris is speaking in my head.
Oh my! It is true.
"True mates have their own path for telepathy?" I transfer my thoughts to Fenris on the same path from which he talked to me. His subtle nod is my only confirmation. Wow!
Our mental conversation is stopped when one by one all the elders congratulate us on our mating. Elder Alarick is the first one who hugs Fenris with a loud slap on his back and then places a hand on my head as a sign of greeting.
Since my heat, I have been very sensitive to another male's touch so every male has been informed that they are to pat my head to greet me instead of touching me. I felt bad about it but I don't ever want to relive the burning sensation. I had my fill when I was trapped in Xavier's dungeon.
