Luna's POV
"I need you" The voice on the other line stated. It sounded hoarse, and almost out of breath.
"Who is this?" I just hear heavy breathing from the other side "Hello?"
"It's me, K-Kyle" he answered "I-I'm at my house"
Oh God, I immediately stood up from the sofa and put on the clothes that I got from my closet not even caring if it doesn't look good.
'I need to go, and fast!!!' I thought to myself. I fumbled with the door keys and immediately rushed out.
Kyle's house is only 5 blocks from here, but that is 500 meters away, and I don't have time to call for a taxi so I just ran towards their house. When I arrived, I immediately punched in his door code and got in
"Kyle!!! Kyle!!!" I shouted. I know Kyle is living alone and got no one to take care of him. Just like me
"H-here" He was lying on the ground, finding it hard to breathe
"Where is it?" I asked. he pointed towards his bag and I immediately rushed to get it.
I opened his bag in front of him and grabbed the nebulizer, yes Kyle is asthmatic and was about to die if I didn't rush
"What the fuck were you doing? Why are you running out of breath? Were you running around your house? Are you an idiot or something?" I asked
He is Kyle Alvarez, a friend of mine since High school and yes, he's the same Kyle in my team at my workplace. He's been asthmatic since he was a child, I used to keep a nebulizer to myself too since he always forget to bring his. He was my only friend and we are really close.
I can hear the air he inhaled from the nebulizer, after three sips of air he felt relieved and laid down his back
"I saw a cockroach, I was about to step on it when it flew on my face, I panicked and I fell down the floor" He said while taking slow calm breaths now
"Oh my God, did you hurt your head or something?" I asked
"Uh no" He answered "I think I don't have any injuries"
I smacked him in the head
"Then what the fuck were you thinking?! Why would you stomp on a fucking cockroach?" I shouted
"What am I supposed to do? Pet it?!" He shouted back, he got up and walked towards his kitchen to grab water
"Do you know how I got here?" I asked, a little pissed off "I ran Kyle, I fucking ran!!!"
"Did I told you to?" He answered sarcastically
"Fuck you" I answered
"You really do seem different in public places and at work." he said while handing me a glass of water "You don't curse, you look like a princess. Prim and proper"
"Then am I supposed to curse you at work?" I answered back
I went to his sofa after drinking the water he gave me and laid on it. I feel so fucking tired.
'Damn nerd got me running half a kilometer' I thought to myself
"There are asthma treatments now, do you even know that?" I asked
He walked towards the sofa, and sat on the space I didn't occupy
"I know that, but it's funny to see you heaving." He laughed "Your nose looks like this earlier"
He pointed at his nose and started opening it wide, taking deep breaths.
I threw a pillow at him
"Asshole!" I shouted "You should just die"
He laughed at my remarks and grabbed his phone. I noticed he got a new phone and it still looks brand new
"Was that the reason your number was unknown? You got a new phone?" I asked "but what about your sim card?"
"I lost my phone" He said "It's either I dropped it somewhere or it got stolen"
"Good for you" I answered "Get your butt up and cook me something to eat. I dropped my burrito because of you"
"What do you want to eat?" He asked
"Anything" I answered
"Sure, Team Manager" he smirked
He got up to his kitchen, his house is not big, it's 2 floors with a small living room and a kitchen in one. His 2nd floor consists of 2 rooms, one is his, and the other is a guest's room. Or sometimes mine when I sleep over.
"By the way, did you see the news earlier?" he asked
"Yeah" I answered shortly, I don't want to talk about it
"And did you see the CEO's son?" He asked, he must have picked up that I don't want to talk about the CEO's condition. He knows my past "Woooow, he looks so handsome, I bet he's got a ripped body too"
I slowly turned my head towards him, giving him piercing glares and a little smirk
"Are you perhaps..." I paused "Gay?"
"Fuck off" He said while flipping some omelette on the pan he was holding "I was just wondering why you got no boyfriend at this age"
"Hey, don't talk about that. You're not allowed to talk about that" I said while chuckling
"Why?" He's confused.
"Cause you don't have a girlfriend either" then I laughed so damn hard, he actually stopped cooking and smacked me in the head "Ow, the fuck was that for?"
he went back into the kitchen and got the egg out of the pan and gave it to me
"You sound like a hyena" He said "Stop"
"Why? You got a crush on someone?" I said while chomping on the egg he gave me
I noticed he stop moving for a moment when I mentioned crush so I decided to tease him a little more
"Oh you do, you do!! Who is it? Is she prettier than me? Sexier than me?" I asked
"No, she's not prettier than you" He answered with a straight face "You're not sexy"
"What did you just say?" I asked "Repeat that again, and this will be your last day"
"I said, she's not sexier than you" he chuckled "are you going deaf?"
I finished eating on his the omelette he gave me when another number rings up my phone
Chairman Ryu - the dialer displayed
"I have to take this call" I said. I can see that he looks worried but I flashed him a smile
"Hello?" I said to the other line "Chairman Ryu?"
I asked with a worried tone
"Come to the hospital, I have something to say to you" he said "It's about something important"
