Chapter 19

As the days pass the number on my wrist slowly drops down.

The closer the number gets to zero, the less afraid I am. I unsheath the sword and smirk at Dylan making a come here motion with my finger.

He lunges at me, the sound of metal against metal is heard as I swing the sword skillfully.

"I didn't know you knew how to handle a sword." I tell him as I knock the sword out of his hand causing it to fall to the floor.

"If I can handle a pack of wolves, I can handle a sword." He says with a smirk.

"Touche." He kisses me on the forehead before picking up the sword.

"Alpha!" A voice calls out.

We turn our heads and notice one of the twins with wide eyes.

"What's wrong Quinn?" I ask.

"A fight has broke out between two of the members." He says as he catches his breath.

We put the weapons away and follow Quinn outside.

A grey wolf along with a reddish brown wolf are snarling at each other as they circle around.

"Turner, Heath, what is going on?" Dylan asks. The two wolves snarl as Dylans eyes glaze over.

A smirk forms on his face, "very well, continue." He announces as a crowd begins to form around the angered beasts.

I wrap my arm around Dylans, "What's going?" I ask softly.

"Heaths girlfriend, Ferra, is Turner's mate, but Heath won't let her go, so he challenged Turner."

I look to the left and notice a blonde haired girl crying silently, she looks very conflicted.

I walk over to her and smile softly, "hello."

Her attention is drawn away from the fight as her eyes widen, "Luna." She bows slightly before looking back towards the snarling wolves as they lunge at each other.

"Ferra, I assume?" I ask softly.

"Yes Luna." She replies her voice breaking a bit. "Turn to me please." I say as she slowly turns and puts her back to the males.

"I heard about your situation." I tell her softly.

Her tears come faster, "I love Heath, but Turner is my mate, it was stupid to get so attatched in a relationship. I was so sure he would have been my mate."

Her brown eyes look down, she can't be more than eighteen. "We all make mistakes, but you need to stop them. Your silence is causing this fight, you either need to reject Turner and accept Heath or the opposite."

"I don't want to hurt them." She whispers.

"You are hurting them by being indecisive. This will only end when one of them is dead, I suggest choosing your mate, but only your heart knows for sure, just remember Heath has a mate somewhere out there." I tell her as her eyes hold mine.

She nods and I can almost see her heart break in her eyes.

I move back towards Dylan, his arm wraos around my waist, "well said."

"Eavesdropper." I mumble.

I notice Ferra move slowly as she sniffs and wipes her tears, "Stop." She says softly.

She is speaking to deaf ears. "Stop it!" She screams.

The snarling comes to a stop as Turner slowly releases Heaths neck.

Both of them shift back and are promptly handed clothes. "Ferra, don't do this, I love you." Heath begs. He has very extensive injiries as does his opponent.

Her tears fall once more, "I'm sorry, you have mate out there somewhere, I won't make you choose." She whispers as she walks over to Turner.

Heath shifts before disappearing into the forest.

Her eyes meet mine and I nod at her. She wraps her arm around Turner and helps him to the doctor.

The crowd dismisses almost instantly, "well that was exciting." Axel says.

"That's one way to put it." Marianne says with a dry laugh.

I feel myself being lifted up and I gasp, "excuse us." Dylan says.

"Put me down Dylan Summers!" I yell as Nadia and Marianne giggle.

"Not a chance baby," he says with a smirk, "when you go all Luna like that, it's sexy" He says as he swings open the door and smacks my ass.

I gasp softly and blush.  "Oh my god." I hear his mother's voice and I'm instantly on the floor.

"Hello." I say softly as I fix my hair and place my cool hands on my cheeks.

"Mother, can I help you?" He asks as I steady myself and wipe the shocked look off my face.

"Can I speak to you privately please?" She asks.

He looks to me and I nod as he kisses my cheek and follows his mother. I walk upstairs and sigh softly as I run a hand through my hair.

My eyes catch the number on my wrist and I frown.

Ten.

I sit on the balcony upstairs and look out at the treeline. Heath shifts back and puts some clothes on. His face doesn't disguise his feelings, hurt and sadness linger on the lines if his facial features.

It will get better for him eventually, he may not see it now but he will.

"Rosie." I look up and notice no one standing there.

"Hello?" I call out softly as I stand up.

I make my way downstairs and find the house completely empty.

"Rosie."

I turn around and face nothing. I make my eway outside and find the yard empty as well.

"Rosie." The voice gets louder and closer, like it is calling me from beside me.

I end up at the tree line, my eyes peer into the dark forest.

Orange eyes peer back causing me to stagger away from the thick set of trees.

Xander slowly emerges from the tree line, his veins glow as power pulses through them.

I look down at my wrist and notice that the numbers have changed.

Zero.

I look back up, a sinister smirk is on his lips.

"Finally, we meet in the flesh."

My heart beats rapidly against my ribcage as fear tugs at it.

"Still so rude, aren't you going to welcome me?" He asks as fire erupts in his eyes.
