After stitching me back up and starting a blood bag, I finally started to feel better.
I look at the IV in my arm as the dark blood moves through the tube into my arm. I sink against the bed and look out the balcony doors as the moon slowly rises.
I feel Dylan sit beside me. "The full moon is coming." I tell him softly. "I know, you've dealt with three of them already." He reassures.
"I have never been this unstable though." I remind him. He grips my hand softly and I look over at him. I know there is fear in my eyes, the full moon is supposed to get better the more you experience it.
I am different, like with every other aspect of my life, I am different.
It is worse for me, my wolf fights for dominace over the other two beings in my body and I lose control over myself.
"Don't let me hurt anyone." I plead softly. "We won't, doc made a special tonic for you."
I nod as I lean my head on his shoulder, "I was kind of mean to Amara."
"I know, she told me to tell you not to worry about it and that she would have probably done the same if she were in your shoes." He tells me as he kisses my forehead.
We sit there for a while just watching the moon rise. The cool night air blows through the doors refreshing us both.
"It's almost fall." Dylan thinks outloud. "It feels as though we just met in the summer." I say laughing softly causing a smile to light up his face.
"Because we did."
"We have been through so much, it feels as if I've known you for a lifetime." I mumble.
A knock sounds on the door causing Dylan to get up, "mom?" I hear him ask as he opens it.
"She's back Dylan." She whispers as she hugs him gently.
She gives me a smile as her eyes meet mine but I can tell her mind is elsewhere. She has been very supportive through everything. She has been right beside my mother the entire time, she just isn't as vocal.
"Who?" Dylan asks. "Delilah." She says her boice barely above a whisper.
His face pales, "stay here, please, just listen to me this once." He asks and I nod.
I lean my head against the bed as the door shuts and they both disappear. Of course I have questions about who this Delilah person is, but the look in Dylans eyes is was enough to make me stay put.
I climb up on the bed and feel the natress comfort me causing me to sigh in content.
I close my eyes as tiredness washes over me and the stress of the day weighs me down.
"Rosie." My eyes snap open and I notice I am no longer in bed, but in the middle of the forest.
"Rosie." I hear the voice call out to me again and I spin around. My eyes meet the firey eyes of the hell hound and I feel my heart clench. Oh shit.
"What do you want?" I ask causing a smirk to rise on his lips. "That's the million dollar question isn't it?" He asks as circles around me.
My eyes never leave his, I dont trust him at all. "I'm Xander." He says extending a hand. My eyes look at the glowing orange veins in his arm and I ignore his outstretched hand.
He sighs and puts his hand down, "that was rude Rosie." He say as he looks me up down.
He moves towards me slowly but I'm stuck, I cant move. "You know ehat happened to me Rosie?" He asks only a few feet in front of me now.
"I don't care." I growl out. "So rude," he mumbles, "I was your age, my pack had been attacked, I was an alpha, I was fearless. They took my mate, child, my entire family. I was left with nothing. I was dying, until I remembered that little book I had read one summer. I thought to myself, why not try? I tried and it worked. I woke up in front of the god himself. He asked if I was sure myltiple times before turning me into this. I was created for the sole purpose of meeting you." He says as his finger tips touch my cheek. The heat coming from them is almost unbearable.
"I. Dont. Care." I growl out anger getting the best of me.
He grabs my chin roughly and pulls my face towards him. "Oh but you will. The gods want to test you. They want to see just how powerful the little hybrid is. Is she powerful enough to take on me? Is she powerful enough to take on them? Who knows?" He says his breath fanning my face.
I slam my forehead against his my eyes holding his. He growls in anger, "I may not know where you are Rosie, but when I find you, we will end this. One of us will be dead. I guarantee it won't be me, not again. Until then, see you in your dreams." He pushes me back and I feel myself falling down.
I let out a scream as my stomach drops. "Rosie!" I feel someone grab my arms and my eyes snap open. "Dylan?" I breathe out as relief floods through me. I hug onto him tightly and breathe in his scent.
I notice his mom and a dark haired girl standing at the door. Her blue eyes are confused and holds another unreadable emotion.
"Are you ok?" He asks. I nod as he kisses my cheek. "I'll show you later." I mumble and he nods as smoothes out my hair. "Who is the girl?" I ask and I can feel him tense.
"She is no one." He replies and I hear her scoff.
"Who is she Dylan?" I ask. "Yes. Who am I Dylan?" The girl asks.
He pulls back and sighs, "that's Delilah, my sister."
