Balthazar raises an eyebrow at me. "That's all you got?" He asks. "You are more physically equipped than me. Give me a break." I groan as I stare up at the sky.

He grabs my arm and lifts me up, "you think the enemy will 'give you a break'?" He asks me. "Touchè." I reply.

He nods and stands his ground. "Again." I focus on him as he disappears. I use my enchaneced hearing and focus on the sound of him, which is hard considering he is dead.

He lands on the ground in front of me and I instantly block him as I plant my feet. His hand hits my chest and I hear a crack as I fly back and land against a tree.

My chest heals quickly and the pain disappears. "You let your guard down." He says as he stands in front of me. "For a second." I growl out as I feel my eyes flash in frustration. "A second too many." He mumbles.

I run a hand through my hair and sigh. "I can do this." I reply trying to boost my drive. "I have no doubt you can." He replies as I look up at him.

"Rosie." I turn to see Dylan walking towards us. "The council has requested an urgent meeting." He tells me. "Council?" I ask.  "Yes. There are 5 councils. Ours is for the packs in North America." He tells me. "Go, we can pick up next week." Balthazar says and I nod before running up to Dylan.

"Do you know what it's about?" I ask him. "No." He practically growls. "I'll go change then meet you in the car." I say before kissing his cheek as he nods.

I quickly change into a pair of black skinny jeans with a navy crop top and black sweater. I tie up my hair and make my way downstairs after slipping on some shoes.

"Ready?" Dylan asks me as he opens the door. "Yeah." I reply as I sit in the oassenger seat. "Are they nice?" I ask as he gets in.

He chuckles, "most of them."

I feel nerves start to eat at my stomach the further away from home we get. "Relax Rosie, you're starting to make me nervous and I've known these men my whole life." He says taking my hand.

I watch the trees pass by and time seems to speed up as the sun slowly sets. We turn down a gravel road shielded by trees. After a while a large brick cabin emerges and we pull over next to a row of cars.

Dylan opens the door for me and I thank him. "Stay by me." He mumbles. I nod as his grip on my hand tightens as we walk up to the door. "I knew I smelled a rat." Dylan mumbles with a smile as a dark haired man opens the door. "Summers." He says with a frown and I wonder what his deal is.

He breaks into a grin. "I'm just messing with you. Come on, the others are here." The man says.

His dark green eyes travel to me and a look of confusion flows onto his face. "Your mate Summers?" He asks. "Yes, Thomas, this is my mate Rosie." He says as we step inside and the door is closed.

"Nice to meet you." I say as we shake hands and he smiles. "I think you'll like Amara, she's my mate." He says as a black haired woman enters the room. "Talking about me behind my back Tommy?" She asks sweetly.

"Only good things my love, this is Rosie, Alpha Dylans mate." He tells her as she wraps his arms around his waist. "Finally another alpha female, none of the other alphas have found their mates yet. Too much testosterone in that room for just me." She says with a laugh.

"It's nice to meet you both." I say laughing softly with her. "Come on. They are waiting." Alpha Thomas says as we move further in.

The cabin is large and has a living room area with two couches and two lkve seats as well as some additional seating areas. We make our way upstairs before I can look at the rest.

Talking is heard as we round a corner and enter a room with a long table in the middle with many males seated around it.

The talking stops as we enter and all eyes are on me. Dylan grips my hand and gives me a reassuring smile. "I'm Alpha Miles Arata." A man with brown eyes and curly brown hair introduces suddenly and I smile. "Rosie Frost." I introduce back and the room gasps.

"Dylan, mate, you never said your girl was a royal." A man with pitch black hairs says. "You never asked Roan." Dylan shoots back.

"Let's get seated and get started." Thomas says. "Thomas is kind of the head of the council." Dylan whispers as we sit down. I'm grateful to be on the end as Dylan sits next to the man named Miles.

Thomas passes out reports to each alpha. "I didn't know you would be here or else I would have gotten you one too." Thomas tells me. "It's no problem." I reassure and he smiles at me.

"Share with me." Dylan says and I nod.

"So, to start off rogues have been decreasing which is both good and bad. The thing we came here for, however, ties in with that. Look at the reports. Tell me whats different." Thomas tells the group.

All of the men in the room look down and I can't help but examine each one of them. They are all very well built and they all have good god like complexes. They were nkrhing compared to the man on my right but still very attractive.

I peel my eyes away and to the reports. "There seems to have been a decrease in woodland animals and it appears that something is scaring them away." A blonde haired man with green eyes says. He has short hair unlike Miles.

A gut instinct hits me and I know what is and from the look on Dylans face I can tell he does too.

"Ah shit." Miles says causing all of us to look up. Dark red liquid drips down his finger and I feel my fangs extend as my throat burns. I clench my teeth together as my breathing hitches and my nails dig into my thighs.

I feel my eyes change color and I close them tightly as I feel myself slipping. With all my training I had forgotten to eat. Anything.

The smell hits my over sensitive nose and I let out a growl causing Dylan to look at me. "Miles. Get out. Now." Dylan say as my eyes meet mine. "Dude no. I'm fine. Its just a cut." Miles says as a drop drips onto the table.

"Miles I'm not joking. Leave." Dylan growls out but it's too late. I stand up on shakey legs I hear the room gasp.

I lose it. In a second he is pinned to the wall. I can hear feel his pulse and hear is blood rushing through his veins. "You should listen next time." I say as my throat burns and I toss him to the floor before I lose it completely and kill an innocent man.

His eyes are wide as I toss him aside into the sheet rock.
