"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚎𝚢𝚎𝚜" A Varian x Reader (discontinued.)

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗜

Warning: uh a couple swear words-

All of us were sitting at the table eating dinner, except the animals, who had a tiny table for them. Especially since Rapunzel suggested it. Cassandra was talking about her adventures outside of Corona, Eugene adding a sarcastic comment every once in a while. Everyone was having a good time, cracking jokes and meeting some new people.

I've gotten to know Cassandra more. She is actually a very interesting person, in a good way. She wrestled people in events, saw Hook hand and Hook foot on tour. Apparently her horse is called Fidela and her owl is named...Owl. Cass also mentioned that she has a dad that use to be Captain of the Guard, but gave the title to Eugene. Cass also went on her journey with her dad, although he's still outside of Corona. She also has a girlfriend who is far away from Corona, but she said that in the next visit, we can meet her. Apparently her girlfriends name is Gravity and is from a far away kingdom and she's an astrologist. Varian whispered in my ear and told me that she could sword fight, so I asked her if she could show me her skills later, and nodded.
Like I said, she's interesting, but in a good way.

After dinner, Varian and I went to go meet Vex and Captain Quaid. Captain Quaid is a sheriff and Vex is his deputy in Vedaros. They told a few stories of what they do and how they got their jobs. The sheriff said goodbye to us so that he could catch up with the King and Queen. So because of that, Varian and I started talking to Vex, sitting in chairs in a circle drinking fruit punch.

"So Y/n, your new to Corona? And how do you live in the castle?" Vex questioned, twirling her braid.

"Well, yes, I am new to Corona still, I've only lived here for almost three months. And I'm Eugene's adopted younger sister. But that's an entire different story." I explained, getting a sip from my fruit punch. I looked over at Varian, who was staring at his fruit punch. He looked like he was in a daze.

"Uh, Var? You good?" Vex yelled out, waving her hand in front of Varian's face. Nothing. She took the drink from him. He still didn't utter a word. Vex scoffed.

"Fine then. We'll do this my way." Vex cracked her fingers. "Y/n, hand me my bag." Vex ordered. I grabbed her bag from a corner of the room and handed it to her. She looked through it, looking for something. Once she found it, she set down her bag and hid whatever she had in her hand. She walked over to Varian, her heels clicking on the floor. Vex hit Varian on top of his head with a...

Book? What is it with hitting people with books these days?! Varian jumped, his fruit punch cup falling to the floor spilling his beverage. Vex rolled her eyes and groaned as she went to the table to get napkins. I chased after her, grabbing some as well. If we don't clean this up, Old Lady Crowley would have our heads! I ran back to the spot where Varian was and started cleaning, Vex doing the same along the way. After we cleaned, Vex went to grab Varian some new punch, as I got an ice pack from the Royal kitchens. Vex and I asked Varian if he was ok and he nodded. We both sat down and groaned, since we were bored. Suddenly, Varian had an idea.

"Hey guys, do you want to see what I've been working on? It's one of the best new things that could change the future." Varian smiled, waving his fingers to intimidate glitter, looking off in the distance. Vex looked in the distance with him and was intrigued. I looked in the direction next. We were just staring at an empty wall.

"I don't see anything, what are we looking at-" I interrupt. Varian rolled his eyes and ordered me and Vex to follow him. Vex kept looking around, trying to find some lose change on the floor. She eventually found three shillings. We went down the castle halls until we reached his lab. Once Varian unlocked his room, we saw something covered in white cloth. It was on Varian's small invention stand.
