Breakfast?

Hey guys, just to let you guys know, Varian and Y/n have the same brain. Well, only the voices in their head. You know, Lovey, Bossy, and Sassy. Varian can get them at any given time. And he got rid of them after he got redeemed. Also, Y/n gets them before and after events happen. So she got lucky. She has had them ever since she was around 6-7. Varian has had them ever since his mother died, so about when he was four. (That isn't canon btw, we don't even know if his mother is alive or dead) ok, get back to the story. I woke in my new fluffy bed. I yawned and rolled off my bed falling on the marble floor. At this point, I didn't even care about getting hurt by this floor. The other night was super confusing. I mean, I just met Varian. I feel like I should ask Varian if he is ok from the other night. I had an idea! I ran to my closet and put on a blue flowy skirt with a blue and white corset. I put on some comfortable shoes from Feldspars and put my hair in a ponytail. I put a daffodil flower crown in my hair to give the outfit a little touch, and I ran out the door.

I ran downstairs and immediately ran into Rapunzel. She gave me a 'good morning' and gave me a hug. She grabbed my arm and ran. We were outside and the King and Queen were all eating breakfast. I froze.

I was going to eat breakfast with the former king and queen. I didn't mentally prepare!! How am I going to survive this?! I still don't know how to act around royalty!

"Good luck."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head as I sat down.

"Good morning Queen Arianna and King Fredrick. How's y-your morning?" I stuttered. Even without the voices in my head at this time, I thought to yourself.

'Great. I stuttered, what if I seemed rude? Do they think I'm a murderer?'

"Good morning Y/n, I'm having a great morning, thank you." The queen replies.

"It's nice to meet you Y/n, Rapunzel has been pretty excited about meeting you. Eugene has told me about your childhood with him. He must be a good brother." The king says while you look at your eggs on your plate.

I mumbled under your breath. "If he was such a good brother, why did he leave me behind."

"What was that?" Rapunzel questioned. I looked up, my eyes widening, noticing that I didn't say that in my head. Thankfully Eugene was working this morning, so that he couldn't notice what I just said.

"Nothing. Well, thank you for letting me eat with you guys, it really is a pleasure." I took a bite from my dairy free pancakes. Suddenly, Nigel walks though the door. That's the dumbest name I have ever heard. 

"Arianna and Fredrick. I am so sorry to interrupt your breakfast, but you need to pack. You have a surprise meeting with Pittsford. You will need to pack for one day. I'll get the chefs to get you a small breakfast serving for the boat ride there." The King and Queen got up and started to leave.

"Sorry for leaving so soon. It was nice meeting you Y/n." Kind Fredrick replied as him and his wife waved goodbye. I waved and started opening my mouth to talk, but I got interrupted by Rapunzel.

"So Dandelion. Can I call you that?" The queen questioned. I nodded.
"So Dandelion. That was a very awkward dinner yesterday. I'm sorry about that. Don't worry, Eugene was meaning to joke around. He was probably only blushing because he was nervous to meet someone new." Rapunzel explained.

"Yeah. I guess." I sigh, fidgeting with my fork. That's the reason why he was blushing? Looks like he is always nervous then.

"Hey Y/n. What's wrong?" The brunette questions, her eyebrows knitting together. Can she not tell that I'm perfectly fine?

"Nothing Rapunzel." I say in an annoyed voice. "Anyways where does-" I got cut off by a worried Queen.

"Y/n?! What's wrong? You've seemed off ever since yesterday night. Trust me, I know when someone feels off." She says, with worry in her glistening green eyes. She's too nice to people sometimes, but that's why she seems like a mother to me. Well, more like a sister in law that is pretty motherly.

"It's just that...I don't know. Anyways, let's change the subject, is Varian at home right now?" I say sitting up in your seat. Rapunzel sighed, giving up to see what was wrong with you. To be honest, I don't know why I feel bummed out.

"Varian came to the castle today. He's working in his lab room. Do you need to talk to him by any chance?" The brunette questioned. I nodded my head yes, but I wasn't going to tell her why. I didn't need anyone all up in my business. But I know that she's only concerned. But how am I supposed to tell her my emotions if I don't even know myself how I'm feeling? Rapunzel got up and stayed to lead me to Varian's lab. Once we got there, I mouthed her a "thank you" as she walked away. I knocked on the door and saw a messy haired alchemist in the doorway.

"Hi."

"Hello Y/n."

I didn't know what to say next, so I just opened your mouth and blabbed some words. That seemed like a bad idea.

"Can I come in?" I asked. Varian nodded and closes the door behind me. I saw some inventions in a corner and a bunch of chemicals on a table in the other corner. Varian put his goggles up in his hair and knitted his eyebrows together.

"Y/n. What are you doing here?" Varian questioned as he fixed his hair.

"I wanted to talk about yesterday." I blurt out, getting reminded of the embarrassing moments. Pink crept onto Varian's cheeks.

"Right. Thanks for that delightful reminder." He says sarcastically. I looked down at my shoes. I didn't want to be embarrassed any longer.

"Rapunzel said that her and Eugene were joking around. They say you get nervous meeting new people and I can't blame you." I kick a spring that was on the floor. "Do you want to forget about the dinner together?"
He started opening his mouth, but he hesitated. He didn't know what to say to you.

"You nitwit. You'll always remember."

Varian stared at the ground twiddling his thumbs. He knew he would never forget it, but he would try.

"Sure. I'm pretty sure that will be best." He says in a soft voice. I got to be honest, Varian's big blue eyes reminded you of a kittens. "Wait, what am I thinking?!" You think.

"Ok. Then it's settled. So Varian. I kind of want to get to know you a little better." You say raising an eyebrow.

"Well milady Y/n, what would you like to know?"
