"I told you! It's the better choice."

"No it's not! This one is better, look at her!"

"Well atleast the cathedral is filled with lots of flowers."

"You guys make it look likes a garden not a cathedral!"

Bumuntong hininga nalang ako at tiningnan ang sarili ko sa salamin. Inaayos na ang buhok ko at nagbibihis narin ang mga kaibigan ko. Davi is with her abuela while my cousins are bugging Davin.

"Admit it, you're nervous."

"I'm not hiding it Eve."

"Oh! well, naunahan mo pa ako effective yung bouquet ni Evereen."

Tumawa ako sa sinabi niya. Maybe? That bouquet is the reason why Davi run away. She wanted to give me flowers just like what she handed me.  And right there she saw her father and the rest is history leading us here now.

"I'm happy for you. Finally, after all the chaos and chasing you are now marrying Davi's father."

And now I could say that it was not because of Davi's request. I am marrying her father because I love him. Amidst the hesitation I felt fires by my conscience, I end up here, on my wedding day.

"Jacob talked to Everson a while ago. He said Elianiere sent you a gift."

Natigilan ako sa sinabi ni Eve. Nilingon ko siya pero patuloy lang siya sa pag-aayos niya para bang walang sinabing balita.

Ipinaabot niya kay Terra ang isang box na nababalutan ng silver na wrapper at may itim na ribbon. She handed it to me.

I opened it gracefully as I cherish the moment. I know there is no harm in this box, and I was right.

It was small rare statue of a family. I remembered Mamá throwing her tantrums at her age when she was not able to win the bidding of this statue before. I smiled and let my fingers feel the smoothness of Elianiere's wedding gift. There a note included inside the box. It was her hand writing and I read it.

I knew it! I'm glad the two of you finally end up together. May you build a strong and happy family for this lifetime. And your daughter is so beautiful. She looks like Davin but she got your femenine. I know she can be a good older sister. You can be a good mother, so is Davin so I know your family will be amazing.

I smiled a I put the letter down and close the box. I clearly remembered my conversation with Davin one night last week. It was after I received her letter from Jacob. When everyone takes their rest and we were left alone in the library. I was able to voice it out to him.

"She sends you a letter?"

Tumango ako at kumalas sa pagkakayakap niya para lingonin siya.  "Yes, wanna see it?"

Umiling siya saka yumakap ulit sakin kahit pa nakaharap na ako sa kanya. "Nah, don't want to. I'm not interested."

"She said she really loves you."

"Don't care."

"And she said your mom once ask you to marry her."

I felt him stiffened after hearing my last words. He didn't move nor speak. He just buried his face of the shallow part of my neck sniffing my scent.

I cleared my throat and proceeded from talking, "She was in mess. Because of me. I think I don't deserve this kind of happiness."

He moved and face me, frowning on what I just said. "What are you talking about? Why did you even read the letter? It's  not important. We will get married nad that is what you are thinking? Don't tell me your backing off?"
