"Almost there... and Done."
I mutter to myself while pouring Ace's meal in his little bat bowl for today. Unlike the other dogs, he really doesn't eat much for some reason, quite a mystery If I'll presume.
The Manor has been quiet lately, probably the fact that Tim is busy with the Teen Titans and Barbara is in college. Its not like im not used being alone, it's just that..
This house is too big for Alfred and me...
Muttering to myself, I noticed the sound of the door creaking, It was Alfred holding what seems like a cloche on an usher board with a glass of martini with the Lemon hanging by the corner
"Dinner will be served momentarily, sire" He utter "I best prepare the dinner table for the master's supper"
"Alright Alfred, I'll be there" Bruce replied
Alfred turned to look the dog caressing his leg with his tail. Smiling to himself, he gave Ace a little pat on the head with the hound submitting wholeheartedly, rolling to the other side and exposing his belly.
"Such an energetic dog" Alfred stated "Such a shame, his appetite is contradicting"
"Indeed" I reply flatly
"Do you think we should contact a veterinarian for his welfare sire?" Alfred asked
"It's not like he has gotten lethargic or passive. It's just that.... He doesn't eat as much as the other dogs" I said
"Very well sire" Alfred replied turning to the door with the cloche
Thoughts came over me as I observed Ace's demeanor, he's definitely not sick or something but something is wrong with the way he tends to food. Being the great detective myself is fairly useless if I couldn't get to the bottom of this,
__________________________________________________In the Batcave, with the whole grim mood that was engulfing the whole place. I found myself typing the Batcomputer for the causes of loss of appetite of dogs for some reason. It was a long hard journey of searching answers for such a ridiculous circumstance. I cant possibly use the Brother Eye for such ludicrous reason,
or is it?
I was lost in my thoughts again that I didn't even notice the buzz coming from the communicator,
It was Alfred.
"Sire, will you come to the living room please"
Alfred spoke through the communicator
"You have a guest waiting"
"I'm busy Alfred, Send them off." I reply sternly, Its probably just some reporter anyways. Im definitely not in a mood to answer some questions or to be on the headline of the Gotham news again
"You're gonna send me off Bruce?"
A familiar voice can be heard from behind as I grew shocked,
I've been sneaked up on.
Gathering my thoughts, I turned to face the lady who triumphed over sneaking up on The Batman himself..
And ofcourse...
of all people.
"You're quite busy aren't you?" she asked
"Quite some feat right there Princess, I definitely didn't see you coming" I began swiftly, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked in her yellow sundress, exposing her gracious legs hidden in her flowing skirt.
She's as breathtaking as ever.
I turn to her walking towards the computer that I was working on
