The next day came as to be expected, Takuya was walking towards the school building when Yukari approached him.
"Hey Takuya." Yukari greeted him "Can I ask you something?" she asked.
"Sure." He replied plainly.
"Do you think Mitsuru-senpai decided to help Fuuka because it was the right thing to do or because she knew she had a Persona?" Yukari asked, Takuya let out a sigh in response.
"We aren't having this conversation." Takuya groaned out as he started to walk again.
"Come on, you can't tell me the thought hasn't at least crossed your mind!" Yukari argued.
"Actually I can." Takuya replied "I genuinely believe Mitsuru did it because she cared."
"Y-You're probably right..." Yukari responded with a sigh "Sorry for bringing it up out of the blue like this." she added.
"You're forgiven." Takuya shot back calmly before walking away towards the school.
Later in the day, during the lunch period, Miyuki was sitting at one of the tables on the roof of the school with Yukari and Junpei.
"Hey Miyuki." Yukari spoke up, causing Miyuki to look up from her bento.
"Your brother's been oddly friendly with Mitsuru recently..." Yukari continued, this sentence caught Junpei's attention as he almost choked on his food from hearing this.
"What are you implying, Yuka-tan?" Junpei asked in bewilderment before taking a swig from his water bottle. "Nothing, it's just something I've noticed." Yukari clarified.
"I'm happy to hear that, Yuka-chan." Miyuki replied with a smile, confusing Yukari.
"D-Don't you think it's a little odd?" Yukari asked.
"A little, especially since he was very hostile when he first met her but I'm glad he's warming up." Miyuki responded obliviously.
"You think he's warming up to her in other ways?" Junpei asked raising his eyebrows in a suggesting manner, Yukari immediately squeaked in shock which confused Miyuki who still hadn't caught on.
"Knock it off, Stupei!" Yukari shouted in a flustered response.
"Hey! You were thinkin' it!" Junpei shot back in response as he crushed the empty plastic bottle in his hand, Miyuki started laughing in response to her friends which caused both of them to drop their spat and turn towards her.
"What's so funny?" Junpei asked suspiciously.
"You two are, silly." Miyuki answered "Getting all worked up over Takuya making a friend." she added with one final satisfied giggle.
"Miyuki..." Junpei began "...you really don't get it, do ya?" he added with a sigh.
"I think I do..." Miyuki replied.
"Trust me, you don't." Yukari said in response with a roll of her eyes.
"That's fair." Miyuki said back with a sigh "I just glad Takuya's making friends again."
"Whadda mean?" Junpei asked curiously.
"Up until recently, Takuya hasn't been the best with making friends." Miyuki answered.
"Why's that?" Yukari asked.
"I don't entirely know...I just know that for the past few years, he's been distant from people that aren't me." Miyuki explained.
"Oh..." Yukari stammered out, it was all she could say as she instantly connected the dots and realized it probably had something to do with the death of their parents.
