Part 14 - What Is Unknown

The next handful of days went by without any major incidents, the group continued to go to Tartarus as well as live out their normal lives. Mitsuru had resigned from her support position, which everyone expected, allowing for her to join the team in battle while Fuuka took over the support position. Eventually the day would be June 20th.

School had just wrapped up for the day, Takuya was getting ready to leave when Yukari came over to talk to him.

"Hey Takuya." Yukari said to the blue-haired teen as he was getting up from his desk.

"Hi Yukari." Takuya responded "What up?"

"Not much." Yukari answered, at this point both Junpei and Miyuki had taken notice of their friends talking and decided the only thing to do was join unprompted. As the four were talking, the door to the classroom opened and Mitsuru came walking in.

"Mind if I interrupt?" Mitsuru asked politely.

"Not at all, what's up?" Takuya replied.

"I was just told by the Chairman that he'll be stopping by this evening, I ask that you all come to the meeting room on the fourth floor." Mitsuru explained.

"Oh." Yukari spoke up "...Okay." she said quietly.

"Is that all?" Junpei asked.

"Correct." Mitsuru answered.

"You can count on us, Mitsuru-chan!" Miyuki happily exclaimed, Mitsuru smiled lightly at the young woman before leaving the classroom.

Later that day, Miyuki was walking back to the dorms when she saw Fuuka standing outside the building with a small albino Shiba Inu.

"Koro-chan, give me your paw." Fuuka said to the dog as she extended her hand out, the dog followed this command properly by placing it's paw in the girl's hand.

"Good boy." Fuuka congratulated the dog, the small pup yipped happily in response.

"He's so adorable!" Miyuki exclaimed as she skipped over to Fuuka's side and bent over to pet the dog, Fuuka smiled at the girl.

"This is Koromaru." Fuuka introduced the dog who barked after his name was said.

"I didn't know you had a dog." Miyuki replied as she picked up the dog and held him close to her, not giving up on petting him.

"He's not mine, I've seen him sitting by the steps of the shrine." Fuuka answered.

"The one near the park?" Miyuki asked curiously, Fuuka nodded to confirm.

"I wonder why a little pupper like him would be going to a shrine like that alone?" Miyuki said as she scratched under the dog's muzzle, he barked happily in response.

"I don't know..." Fuuka replied "...I'm just glad he keeps himself safe."

Miyuki put the dog back down on the ground gently, Koromaru barked happily before going off on his merry way.

"I hope I see him again." Miyuki said as she watched the dog walk away.

"You will, I've noticed he walks by the dorm a lot." Fuuka responded.

"That's good." Miyuki commented with a smile "We should get inside, Mitsuru said the Chairman was visiting today." she added before leading Fuuka into the building.

The group were once again all met up in the meeting room on the fourth floor, sitting around waiting for the Chairman to arrive.

"So when's he gettin' here?" Junpei asked while never looking away from the PSP in his hands. "I don't mind waiting." Miyuki said in response.
