Persona 3 : Two Souls

Part 17 - Yakushima

The teens were anticipating their trip but first they had to get through finals to reach their vacation, so they all studied and went through the week of test after test until the end of the school week came on July 18th. When the final day of finals had wrapped up, Junpei was the first to leap out of his seat with excitement.

"I did it! The darkness of testing will give way to the light of Yakushima!" Junpei exclaimed as he jumped to his feet, shouting to the heavens so everyone knew of his excitement. Yukari got up from her desk and walked over to Takuya as did Junpei, the blue-haired boy stood up as the two approached him. "So, how'd you do?" Yukari asked.

"I aced P.E., Yuka-tan!" Junpei exclaimed proudly, at this moment Miyuki had joined the group at their gathering around Takuya's desk. "You too, Junpei?" Miyuki said with a excited look on her face, Junpei seemed surprised at what Miyuki said.

"Good job, Miyuki." Takuya congratulated his sister with a pat on her head, she smiled at him as he did this "Not that I'm shocked, you've always been fairly active." he added with a chuckle. "I'm not surprised either, I hear Miyu-chan's become quite the important player for the volleyball team." Yukari chimed in.

"Now now, dudes. We gotta remember what's important." Junpei said interrupting the current conversation "Yakushima, baby!" he exclaimed.

"I'm totally ready!" Miyuki cheered "What about you, Takuya!" she questioned her brother without losing her chipper tone, her brother responded with a shrug of his shoulders and a sigh. "I'm always ready." Takuya said with a light smirk.

"Hey, do you all want to do something?" Yukari asked "I don't have practice today, so what do you say?" she added onto her question. "Sure." Takuya answered.

"Of course, Yuka-chan!" Miyuki replied excitedly. "Sure thing, Yuka-tan. If you need help buying a swimsuit, I am more than willing to help." Junpei answered with a dopey grin.

Yukari rolled her eyes at this "Alright, lemme go grab my stuff from the locker room." she spoke up before walking out of the room. "I'll go with!" Miyuki called out as she skipped after Yukari leaving Takuya in the classroom with Junpei.

"Hey..." Junpei hesitantly spoke, Takuya glanced over in his direction. "...I know I've been a dick lately but...we're still cool, right?" the scruffy teen asked, Takuya let out a sigh in response. "Junpei, I'm going to be upfront with you...I don't like you." Takuya answered bluntly "...That being said...Yeah, we're cool." he added with a smirk.

"I-I'm not sure what exactly you mean by that but something tells me I should be thanking you..." Junpei replied "...Whatever, that shit's in the past now." he added.

"We should head to the front gate and wait for the girls." Takuya said before leading Junpei out of the classroom and towards the front gate.

At the front gate, the two boys waited until Miyuki and Yukari left the school building accompanied by Akihiko and Fuuka as well.

"What, Princess doesn't wanna come?" Takuya asked with a chuckle.

"You know her..." Yukari answered with a groan "...Always busy with something."

"Yo, Akihiko-senpai." Junpei said "Whatcha doing here?" he asked.

"Chairman Ikutsuki called for me, I think he might want to discuss another new candidate." Akihiko answered. "Does that mean we might be getting a new member?" Yukari asked, Akihiko nodded to confirm her suspicions.

"Fuuka!" The familiar voice of Natsuki called out, everyone turned to see the girl running over to them all. "What's wrong, Natsuki-chan?" Fuuka asked.
