Part 20 - Do Nothing Day

Takuya once again woke up during the Dark Hour, after yesterday's Koromaru situation he was hoping he'd be able to just go to sleep and not be bothered but Pharos had other plans apparently.

"Good evening." Pharos said in his usual unsettling tone. "It's becoming quite lively around here."

"Things tend to be like that when you fight monsters regularly." Takuya sarcastically quipped, Pharos had no reaction and didn't even pick up that he was joking.

"It is now one week until the next full moon..." Pharos continued "...Are you prepared?"

"I'm as ready as I usually am." Takuya answered coldly.

"You should remain cautious, regardless of your confidence you could very well find yourself in a dangerous situation if not properly prepared." Pharos replied "I will come to see you again."

"Oh really? That's a surprise." Takuya groaned out as he turned over in his bed to signal he wanted Pharos to leave "Here I thought you'd let me sleep."

"I can tell you want me to leave, but I will keep my promise to see you again." Pharos said before disappearing, Takuya sighed and tried to go back to sleep.

That following morning, Takuya decided the first thing he'd do after getting dressed was to go to Mitsuru's room and ask about Koromaru. The blue-haired teen knocked on the door to her room, after a bit she opened the door and seemed a tad surprised to see Takuya at her door.

"Takuya, what are you doing here?" Mitsuru asked.

"I was curious about my dog, how's he doing?" Takuya answered with a question.

"Koromaru? He's doing fine, not to worry." Mitsuru answered.

"Good to hear." Takuya said calmly "You busy today?" he asked, Mitsuru blinked in response as she wasn't expecting that.

"I...I had no plans, no." Mitsuru answered, Takuya smirked in response.

"Good, I want to take you somewhere." Takuya replied and with that the two left the building with him leading her to where he wanted to go.

Meanwhile, Miyuki was at Paulownia Mall with her friend Rio. At this paticular moment the two were sitting on a bench by the fountain just having a casual conversation about whatever came to their minds.

"Kenji really said that to you?" Miyuki asked, Rio nodded in response.

"I know, right?" Rio replied "I can't believe I mean that much to him."

"That's really sweet, Rio." Miyuki added with a giggle.

"Absolutely." Rio continued gushing "The other girls didn't get it but they don't know him like I do." The two girls both laughed at this together.

"Miyuki, just the girl I was looking for." Tatsuya said as he walked over to the two girls, Rio tensed up a little since she recognized Tatsuya as a cop despite the fact he was not in a uniform but Miyuki just rose from the bench happily without issue.

"What's up, Tatsuya?" Miyuki asked, the man responded with a chuckle.

"I wanted to ask how your trip went." Tatsuya answered "To Yakushima, I mean...Your brother said you kids were going up there for a few days."

"Oh, it was great." Miyuki answered "We even made a new friend."

"That's amazing." Tatsuya exclaimed with a chuckle "Glad you kids enjoyed yourselves" he pushed up his sunglasses and then noticed Rio.

"Who's your friend?" Tatsuya asked, Miyuki turned around to look at her raven-haired friend "Oh, that's Rio!" Miyuki answered, she then went over and pulled Rio up to her feet "Rio, this is Officer Tatsuya Suou!" Rio felt pressured by her friend's cheerfully introduction that she extended her hand out, Tatsuya shook it politely.
