March 31st.
Miyuki and Yukari had just arrived to the meeting room on the fourth floor, today was the day that the dorm was closing down so they were meeting today to return their evokers to the Kirijo Group with Mitsuru being the one handling the reclaiming.
"Glad you both could make it." Mitsuru greeted them as they both sat down on the couch next to Ken, Miyuki picked Koromaru off the floor and let the dog sit on her lap as she pet him. "Please place your evokers on the table."
"Where's Akihiko?" Yukari asked.
"He said he would busy with training today, in spite of that he did run by here earlier to drop off his evoker and moved his stuff out yesterday." Mitsuru said as she pointed to the evokers already on the table, looking around it was easy to tell that Junpei and Ken had already returned their own, even Koromaru's evoker collar was on the table.
At this point, Fuuka walked over to the table, Miyuki hadn't even noticed the girl was in the corner of the room. "Hey there, Fuuka." she greeted her, the teal-haired girl waved back with a light smile.
"Is that everyone's?" Junpei asked, at that moment Aigis entered the room and walked over to the table, placing an evoker on the table.
"You had one too, Aigis?" Ken questioned, there was an uncomfortable silence.
"Oh...." Mitsuru said "...You had his for safe-keeping." everyone's mood was shot as they remembered the death of Takuya, Junpei took notice of this and spoke up. "Hey, don't go getting all gloomy now." he said "I don't think he'd want this to end like that."
"You're right, Takuya wouldn't want us beating ourselves up over him." Miyuki replied. "We....We all said our goodbyes to him already..." Junpei could tell she was still sad about his death, Yukari could too and placed her hand on the girl's back in an effort to provide comfort.
"Why did it happen though?" Ken asked "None of the doctors found anything wrong with him, it was like he just fell asleep."
"He..." Fuuka said "...must have used up all his power to protect us."
"The reason as to why he passed is irrelevant." Aigis said "...I doubt he blamed any of us for what happened."
"Ai-chan's right, Takuya was the kind of guy who'd throw himself into any danger if it meant protecting those he cared about." Miyuki said "He's been like that for a while..."
"Yes..." Mitsuru replied solemnly "...That's who he was until the end."
"On the bright side, Apathy Syndrome's basically disappeared." Junpei spoke up "So that's a plus."
"You're right." Mitsuru said "We prevented The Fall and in turn removed Apathy Syndrome from this world."
"Yes." Aigis said "We have done all we can."
"You're taking this all surprisingly well." Junpei commented "Back when he was with us, it seemed like all you cared about was him."
"That is true." Aigis replied "I had believed he was my only purpose in life, but now with him gone, I have made a promise I intend to keep."
"A promise?" Fuuka asked.
"Yes." Aigis answered "A promise to keep on living no matter what." the young girl took off the ribbon she wore around her neck and replaced it with the red tie that Takuya had given her. "It was my final promise to him."
Miyuki took out her evoker and handed it to Yukari who placed both it and her own evoker on the table with everyone else's.
"Have you both finished packing?" Mitsuru questioned.
