While S.E.E.S was busy with their vacation, Shinjiro remained on Tatsumi Port Island continuing to do what he always did which was mostly just hanging around shady parts of the place.
While doing just this, he was approached by the three imposing strangers.
"Shit, it's them." One of the punks who were hanging around in the same area as Shinjiro exclaimed in disgust "Let's get outta here." everyone else was leaving, but not Shinji.
"Hey." Shinjiro said plainly.
"It saddens me that they always run and hide when I approach." The pale man said with a sigh "They're like rats being discovered within a kitchen."
"Let's get to the point already, Sakaki." Shinjiro replied coldly.
"Right." Sakaki said "Jin, the capsules."
Jin pulled up his briefcase and opened it, he then reached into it and pulled out a small black box that he quickly handed off to Shinjiro.
"Appreciated." Shinji said plainly, he got up and began leaving. "I'll pay you the-"
"Hold it." Jin spoke up stopping Shinjiro in his tracks.
"Don't fret about payment this time around, Shinjiro." Sakaki said with his usual slow hiss "This time, information will suffice."
"What?" Shinjiro asked.
"About those friends of your's..." Sakaki began "They've been doing quite a lot of work recently, what with their full-moon operations as well as their journey through the tower....I must ask, what compels them to bring such a burden upon themselves."
"I have no clue." Shinjiro said brushing off the question.
"I think you're lying, Shinji." Sakaki said with a sinister look in his eyes "Are you afraid to tell us?"
"I have no reason to lie." Shinjiro shot back growing tired of this conversation quickly.
"Then tell us." Sakaki fired back with a subdued anger in his tone.
"Fine...." Shinji groaned out "...I don't know everything but supposedly if you defeat all of those...creatures....the tower will disappear and with it the Dark Hour."
This answer shook both Sakaki and Jin.
"You mean....those fools intend on doing away with the Dark Hour?" Sakaki asked.
"Seems like it...." Shinjiro answered.
"B-But why?!" Sakaki questioned "Their power would disappear along with it."
"So they intend on taking out the Tower of Demise as well?!" Sakaki shouted.
"I can't blame 'em, thing's a damn eyesore." Shinji replied.
"Those imbeciles!" Sakaki screamed in utter fury.
"Easy, Takaya." Jin said trying to calm Sakaki down, in response the pale man took a few deep breaths. "Yes...Yes...You are right, Jin." and with that the three left, leaving Shinjiro alone.
"I...I can't do anything about it." Shinji began speaking to himself "That'd mean going back...and I can't do that....not after what happened."
July 23rd came, it was the last day of the trip and at this particular moment the teens were all boarding the ship back to Tatsumi Port Island.
"I can't believe the trip's already over." Junpei said in exhausted defeat.
"I know, it was so much fun." Miyuki added on. "But I can't wait to see Koro-chan again."
