I woke up with a start. It was dream just a dream. I tell myself. My heart is racing and i bet my blood pressure's through the roof. I look down at my hands as if i expected them to be stained by blood,But instead of blood they were starting to look like my feet as if the flesh was dying. And then all of a sudden i started to feel dizzy my head was spinning so bad that i keeled down onto the straw and soon everything went dark. Voices. Warmth. A house. These were all things i saw and heard as i drifted in and out of consciousness. I finally awoke and i realized that i was in a small farmhouse my first instinct was to run but when i tried to sit up the dizziness overcame me again and i was forced to lay down. Then i heard footsteps coming towards me. You have to hide! I thought meekly to myself. Even if i did have the strength to get up i do not know i i would have the will too. As the footsteps approached i smelled the smell of hot broth chicken broth. That sounded amazing to warm my cold bones. But it was the person carrying it that worried me. Soon i saw a figure of an old woman standing above me. "Hello deary." She said kindly. She smelled like gingerbread my favorite type of cookie. "Hello." I barely managed to choke out in between my cracked and frozen lips and my dry throat. "No don't try to talk. I imagine you've been through enough half way freezing to death out there." You have no idea. I think to myself my thoughts are groggy and i react slowly to the women's gestures. But i am alive and that is all that matters. But soon the time will come that i need to find my daughter. She then started spoon feeding me broth out of the bowl and i feel into a contented sleep. I dreamed of distant places such as Crimea and England and sailing during the warm summers on out yacht the standart. And our beautiful and beloved Tsarkoe Selo. Once again people drifted in and out of my dreams. My mother, My family, And Russian soldiers. I was living in the twilight zone where everything was happy. But as all good things have to do it ended. And i woke up violently sick early in the morning. I have recovered mainly from frostbite. What is the matter with me?
