There i am laying on the ground stabbed in the back unable to move. I know i cannot take it out or i could bleed out in a matter of seconds. Then a tall woman with long black hair stepped in front of me."Well well well. Look what i have caught. Why it's the grand duchess." She laughed cruelly. She grabbed the bottom of my face tightly. "She could fetch a handsome price from the Bolsheviks." I spit in her face best i could. "You'll never take me alive!" I said angered by spite and the Confidence of this women. "Dead or alive. It doesn't matter to me but i would rather have you alive. Good job my daughter we will gain much from this." She was slowly walking around me as a spider killed it's prey. Daughter?!?! I think wildly i was under the impression that Anna was an orphan now look where that had gotten me. "Never assume." That's what papa used to always say to me. The woman quickly grabbed me and made me stand up and she pressed the tip of her dagger to my throat. I saw coldness behind her eyes harshness and pain. It seemed this woman had no weakness. That had been weeded out of her a long time ago. "You don't have to do this." i said. "Please." "Look at that a little grand duchess begging at my feet. No. I have to do this. Because your family took away all that i loved and they didn't care a bit." i sensed a moment of weakness and i seized it. I punched her in the face. Hard. She stumbled back into a bookcase since i was taller then her i figured i could overpower her. But i underestimated her wit and her strength. She had been trained i had not. I charged her and she quickly sidestepped and grabbed me from behind as she put her knife to my throat she drew a thin line of blood. "What are you going to do now little princess?" And i blacked out. When i was blacked out memories floated in and out. I'm dead. I thought. This is how it ends for me. And all of a sudden i was back at home in the library. And there i was sitting with a girl who looked familiar but i couldn't quite place her. "The tsar's secret third child will be the only savior to the family. Do you understand Valentina? You will save us!" I heard myself say.
