The last thing i remember was a bullet hitting me,the sound of gunshots, and screaming.I'm slowly coming back to my senses i'm in a bright white room that's silent except for a weird ringing sound.Am i dead?No i can't be dead my family would be here unless they're alive and i'm not.I have to practically slap myself to get back on track.Your not dead you've obviously been taken somewhere, but where? I think to myself. Then i try to sit up and something's pinning me down. I look down and see that its straps like they used on crazy patients during the war when me and Tatiana were nurses. Tatiana! I have to find her. As i start to wiggle out of the straps people start coming and pinning me down. They're saying something but i can't hear anything except the ringing and that's getting louder and louder by the second. I think i'm screaming but i can't hear myself. All i know is that i have to find Tatiana. The main nurse made a signal Beckoning Someone to come over. And then i felt it the needle sticking in my arm to calm me,we did this in the war to calm combative patients. Now they're using it on me. For hours maybe days i just lay there thinking about my family, my grand mama, and that trip to Romania.I hated carol i thought he was dull and smelled. I also thought about how i was supposed to marry that English prince, could i have saved my family by basically killing myself in that marriage? It would have been a sacrifice worth making.Eventually a nurse comes and offers me broth."No thank you" i said "I'm not hungry" She just looked at me kind of sadly"Where am i?" I asked "I-I-I'm not authorized to tell you that" She averted her eyes"Please" I beg "I must know" I make my puppy dogs eyes at her i know it's immature but it always worked on Tatiana."Alright, but you mustn't tell anyone i told you this" For the first time i noticed she had an accent, hey at least my stupid ears are working again.I nodded furiously."Istanbul Psychiatric Hospital" she looks sad "Now i really must go" "Wait" i say And grab her arm, considering i'm a psych patient she's surprisingly not scared of me."What do you think my name is?" "Well these men brought you in and said that they found you in a ditch, they said your name was Ekaterina Burgess"Then all the memories of how i got here was coming back to me.I remember Mama And Papa being dragged out of the room,Me thinking they were dead.I also saw the soldier dragging Papa Kick maria out of the way like she was doll instead of the daughter of the rightful Tsar! But i saw her get up and Run! That means dear Mashka could be alive. And then a bullet hit my leg and then another one in my other leg, immobilizing me.Then when the soldiers came to finish my off i was ready i was going into shock i was so cold and i thought that only Mashka was alive. but as he pulled up his bayonet to finish me off i realized it was one of the officers i had flirted with during our captivity. But suddenly another soldier appeared at his shoulder and aggressively told him to"Remember your orders" and he put the gun down. The soldier that saved me picked me up and asked me if i was alright i feebly nodded and said "yes" then he put me in the back of a truck. It was days before the rumbling stopped and i had only water during that time because that's the only thing i could keep down.Because i had and infection due to the bullet wounds. I could have died but that soldier kept me alive.Maybe out of fear or maybe he had a good heart. He was handsome.I wonder what his name was! Then a nurse Snapped me out of my thoughts."Ms. Burgess" She said softly "You have a visitor" A tall man appeared at the foot of my bed "Who Are You?" I asked suspiciously Terrified that he was a soldier here to finish the job.But why would that soldier have orders to keep me alive if they were just going to kill me in my hospital bed? "You Don't Know Me?" He said gruffly "I'm your husband."
