ELUSIVE

BEFORE I CLOSE MY EYES...

Being pushed away so hard until her head hit the wall make her view spin. Her head hurts so much that she can't barely stand up. However, she still need to move forward to her mother even though she needs to crawl. She needs to save her mother.

"Father please,stop. Stop beating mother. It's my fault.. I'm-" before she could finished her beg while holding onto her father's leg, she once again being kicked away.

"Ouh, so it's you,hah!. Hey listen here." her father pulled her hair hard that her head tilted facing upwards. "I'M YOUR FATHER!! NOT HIM! NOT ANYONE ELSE!. I'm just gone for few days but now you're looking for a new father already?"

"You're gone for a whole month! You barely at home! You only came home because you need money. Is that what a father do?" Eunha said, barely can make eye contact with his father. As expected, her words make her father's blood rise again. Her father's rough hand landed hardly on her cheek, makes her fall again.

"Eunha!" Eunha's mother screamed, she's panic when Eunha no longer gave any responds. Her body is completely weak and exhausted. Slowly, she crawled to Eunha.

"This is a warning from me. Never meet that man again! If not, i'll kill Jungsuk right in front of your eyes." Euntaek, Eunha's father said and continue sipping his drink.

Yerin and Taehyung are already at their usual place to have their snacks together as planned after school has finished, but Eunha was nowhere to be seen.

"Do Eunha forgot?" Yerin asked, sipping her chocolate milk. Taehyung on the other hand is taking his nap. But its barely a nap, he just managed to close his eyes but his soul is still in his body.

His mind is thinking about Eunha who is acting differently lately. He is debating between himself whether to tell Yerin about Eunha's consequences or not. 'But we promised to take care of each other,right? So i can tell her so that we together can help Eunha, am i right? Okay let's do this.' Taehyung monologue.

"Yerin-ah. Don't you noticed something weird about Eunha lately? She's like hiding herself from us and keeping our conversation short as possible so that she can excuse herself ASAP." Taehyung starts to heat the topic up.

"I did. We also barely walk home together after school nowadays. I've been wondering, is she doing fine? I just realized that i don't really make effort to get to know her deeper and she's such a secretive person. And do you notice bruises on her forehead? She's trying so hard to hide it and whenever i try to hold her arm, she will flinched. Like her body is actually full of bruises. I'm getting worried. " Yerin said feeling a little bit disappointed to herself.

"Actually, i have something to tell you." Taehyung said fixing his seat, making Yerin suddenly feels so curious as it sounds very serious. "I once walk her home and saw her father was abusing her mother. Her father is drunk and i can assure, that was not the first time they're being abused. So i looked up about her father, apparently Jung Euntaek is well-known as a former drug dealer and now he has a lot of debts.". Hearing that, Yerin went speechless.

"Don't you think we need to make police reports?" Taehyung asked.

"I would want to, but my mother refused." Suddenly, Eunha's voice greet them from the back.

"Eunha-yah. Why you've been hiding about this from me. And why won't your mother make police report? Look at all this bruises." Yerin said worriedly, pulling Eunha to sit beside her and examine Eunha's bruised face. With the care that Yerin showed, Eunha burst into tears.

"I-I'm sorry. I don't know why... I want to run away from there with my mother but we got nowhere to go. Besides, father will surely find us and will beat us if he did." Eunha said while crying. Taehyung slowly pulled some tissues for Eunha.
