BEING LEFT ALONE

"I never thought you would call me." Taehyung said to Yerin as she sat on the swing beside him. They decide to meet after Yerin realized that the guy Taehyung know her past.

"What you've said to me at the hospital turns out to be true. So i thought you might can help me. Do we really that close back then?" Yerin lead the question.

"I also don't know how close we are. You always act cold towards me and then all of sudden you're nice to me, sometimes." Taehyung said, kicking pebbles while faking a pout.

"Seriously? i'm like that?" Yerin asked, wanting a confirmation.

"Frankly speaking, we're close because of Eunha." Taehyung said, looking at Yerin in the eyes.

"Yes, i'm also want to ask about her. I do remember about her a little bit. During high school, she is Jungkook's girlfriend,right? I found a picture of Jungkook in the yearbook too .Their name sound really familiar to me. They-"

"That's the rumor that we want to stop, Yerin-ah. The rumor about them is not true. And that is the cause why Eunha was badly bullied on that day, which is tomorrow is her graduation day. Eunha didn't came on her graduation day. You promised her to take care of her, but you disappeared." Taehyung said.

Upon hearing that, Yerin went speechless. "W-why did i make promise with her? Where did i go? What happened to Eun-" Yerin stop in her words when a train of memories starts to pass by her minds.

"Now you remember?" Taehyung ask, playing with his swing while Yerin start to zoom out.

2015

Yerin who sat beside the window look out at the busy road during the lunch hour. As always, she did not feel hungry. The memory of her family dinner yesterday night came through her mind.

"Aigoo my lucky charms! Congratulations for being accepted at Hyunda Company. It's not that easy but my son made it! I'm really proud of you!" Mr.Jung said, letting out his proud laugh.

"Eat a lot,my son." Mrs Jung put a big chicken leg on his son's plate. "Thank you Mom, Dad." Jung Haein said and eat the chicken deliciously but still being polite.

Noticing that her younger sister is quiet, he knows that Yerin is affected by their Dad's words. Wanting to cheer up the environment for Yerin, Haein take a piece of his steak and gave it to Yerin.

"Yerin-ah, your birthday is just this month. Where do you want to celebrate? I will take you to everywhere you want." Haein said, smiling sweetly at his younger sister. Yerin replied with a smile, but before she could answered, her Dad interfered.

"Aish, there's no need to celebrate. Yerin is in her senior year and she needs to focus on her study. The Entrance Exam is more important that celebrating your birthday in your senior year. You're okay if we didn't have celebration for your birthday, right?" Mr.Jung said, not feeling guilty.

"Don't be like that,Dad. Now that i have a job, i really want to celebrate her birthday." Haein try to persuade their father while Yerin's smile slowly fade away.

"If you really want to do so, make sure you score high in your trial exam. It's only 2 weeks from now,right? I hope you're as good as your brother because i want you to become a lawyer,okay?" Mr.Jung clearly explained the plan for Yerin's life.

"But Dad, I don't want to be a lawyer. I want to be a nurse. Lawyer is just not for m-" Before Yerin could finished, Mr Jung slammed the table hard.

"Ungrateful daughter, do you think i paid for your study fee just for you to play with sick people when you grown up?! Nonsense! Be a lawyer and you'll be respected. Why can't you obey me like your brother?" Mr Jung said, raising his voice, killing the mood.
