THE VOICE

Yerin fixed her grip on the wooden plank, not wanting it to be slipped away that easy. It is the only weapon she can use to protect herself and maybe to protect Taehyung and Eunha too, who are both now sitting tiredly on the ground. However, as she predicted the man who attack them now slowly walked to her and grabbed the wooden plank hard. Since Yerin is holding it by her bare hand while the man is wearing a pair of glove, the fibers of the wooden plank somehow hurt her palm. While both are struggling, Taehyung slowly pulled out something from his pocket and push the button on it.

A loud high pitch sound filled the area, making all 4 of them flinch in pain in their ears. Yerin also let go of her grip from the wooden plank, neither of them was trying to pick up the wooden plank back. Looking at the man still flinching in pain, Taehyung who is finally able to stand up slowly and able to bear the pain of the sound, he slowly approach the man. He aimed to pull down the mask that the attacker was wearing. Without thinking twice, he pulled it hard.

Taehyung was stunned, he froze. The attacker who was shocked by Taehyung's sudden appearance quickly hide his face with his turtle neck shirt and flew a punch right to Taehyung's abdomen. Taehyung once again fall to the ground but he will never forget what he had seen.

Unfortunately, Taehyung who was forced to walked backwards due to the pain of the punch in his stomach accidently hit Yerin and both fall on the ground. The man takes this chance to go back to Eunha.

"What happened over there!!" A police car passed by and the two police also walked out from the car. Curious about the sudden high pitch sound that has disturbed the neighborhood. Realizing that policemen are there, the man slowly vanished himself to the alley. Yerin on the other hand screamed her lungs out, yelling for help. But due to the high pitch sound, the policemen could not hear well. As the policemen has approached them, the man who attack them was no longer there.

"What happened here? Are you guys drunk? Switch off this sound now!!" One of the policemen ordered. Taehyung who was still in pain tried to switch off the sound, and now the neighborhood went silent again. One of the policemen who saw that Taehyung's head is bleeding quickly kneeled down and check on him.

"What happened to you guys?" The policeman asked and starts checking on Taehyung and Yerin as well as Eunha who is fainted on the other side.

"We were attacked! A man suddenly attacks us from behind. I think he tried to kidnap my friend." Yerin explain in rush and panic. The policeman who was standing began talking to his walkie-talkie, reporting that an attack has happened.

"Did you see the face of the attacker? Where did he go?" The police asked.

"H-He ran after he saw you guys coming. I don't see which way he takes. I-" Yerin tried to explain as she looked around, trying to find a possible way the man could have choose to run away. But her eyes stuck on one place. The white car had gone missing.

"It's okay, I'll ask my team if they saw any suspicious movement. First let's get your friends to the hospital. Can you stand up, miss? " The police asked and Yerin nods without thinking much. Her mind now was thinking about the missing white car. Is the man who attack them is the same man who hit and run her mother? She must be running away with that car. If what she said is true, then Eunha is in grave danger. The man is no joke. Unfortunately, she only saw the eyes.

Luckily, Taehyung's injury is not so serious and Eunha is just fainted. All three of them were allowed to leave the hospital on the same day and now they're in the police station, making a report of the attack. But, it is the same police station they went before, where Taehyung insult them.

"So, did any of you was able to see the face of the attacker?" The policeman who introduced himself as Mr. Kang asked them while typing something in his PC.
