kairi waited at the train station for mattia, he bit his bottom lip while he scanned the stations for him. when he saw the taller approach him, a smile painted his face as he sprinted towards the boy. he wrapped his arms around mattia's torso, startling the taller.
kairi pulled away and looked up at him, 'good morning!' he looked down at mattia's hands for his luggage as he noticed mattia had just a single bag with what seemed to be one item inside.
'that's all you brought?' kairi asked, in comparison to kairi's bag, mattia had basically nothing. 'yeah' mattia replied blandly. 'what about change of clothes?'
'clothes?' mattia questioned, he thought this was just going to be a day trip. 'well, it's okay... i'm pretty sure we can buy you some new ones at the mall!' kairi exclaimed, he grasped the boy's hand as they headed to their train.
the mall? mattia thought as him and kairi boarded the train. 'train from new jersey to new york is now leaving the station!' the muffled intercom stated, then the blare of the train horn went off, and the train departed from the station.
'new york? i thought we just going on a train ride kairi!' mattia panicked as he took his phone from his pocket. 'noo mattia, who just goes on a train ride in the middle of the morning?!' kairi giggled, but mattia was being dead serious.
'ooo put your seatbelt on, or the train cart lady will get mad' kairi said, but mattia just looked up from his phone and glared at kairi. 'kairi, you literally kidnapped me' mattia tried to say in the calmest way possible, but kairi just laughed.
'sir i need you to put on your seatbelt while the train is in motion' like kairi said, the train cart woman came around and told mattia to buckle up. ( pshh yolo iykyk )
mattia just rolled his eyes as he texted his mom about where he was going. 'sir i'm not going to rep-,' the lady started, but mattia just huffed. 'please just shut the fuck up, i'll put it on.. just not right now' mattia grumbled making the woman walk away with an attitude.
kairi tried to silence his laugh but failed. he's never seen mattia so mad so it just made him laugh. but mattia wasn't playing, 'kairi you shut the fuck up too, or i'll call the police on your annoying ass'
'is dino daddy mad? aww, it'll be okay' kairi joked which made mattia just clench his jaw at the boy's immaturity. 'but really mattia i'm sorry, i forgot to tell you where we were going. and i forget that you're not sick too, so you're parents usually won't be so quick to say yeah...' kairi sighed, now guilt washing over him.
mattia also sighed then looked at the boy, 'it's alright kairi.. don't feel guilty midget' mattia snickered which made kairi look up with with furrowed brows. 'you're so bipolar.. ugh anyways let's enjoy the rideee!' kairi exclaimed which made mattia laugh again as the smaller boy looked out the window with huge eyes.
he was so happy to be able to go on this trip. he's always adored the new york city scene. he loved to hear about the skyscrapers, the multiple food shops, and lastly the statue of liberty.
this trip would be the best one of his entire life, and mattia wanted to make sure of that.
