it's been weeks since the duo have been on their trip to new york, it's now late july and they were in a relationship together.
on the train ride home, mattia proposed the question to kairi who happily answered yes. since then the couple has been basically inseparable, they did everything together.
they were currently at kairi's house, cuddling each other in his bed watching tv. kairi was very clingy with mattia, which mattia didn't mind, so kairi was basically laying on top of him. mattia rubbed kairi's back soothingly, kairi hummed at the feeling.
'matti' kairi whispered but loud enough for mattia to hear. mattia hummed, letting kairi know he was listening, 'if i- if i- told you i was actually super scared of dying, what would you say?' kairi stuttered.
mattia looked away from the tv, staring at the boy who was grasping his shirt tightly. 'why are you speaking like this bebe?' mattia questioned with a tone of concern.
mattia sat them up so kairi was now sitting on his lap. 'i don't know.., i just seem to make my death a joke everytime but i'm actually really scared' kairi admitted, laying his head on mattia's chest as tears threatened to leave his eyes.
mattia continued to rub kairi's back, because he could tell kairi was tense. 'it's okay to be scared kai, i want you to know that. you don't have to put on a happy act for me. i'm going to always be there for you, okay bello?' mattia soothed. he rested his chin on top of kairi's head while kairi just listened to the beat of his heart.
kairi wrapped his arms around mattia's waist tightly, he never wanted to let go. even though they just started dating, kairi already loved mattia. he didn't know if mattia felt the same but he thought the time was right.
'i love you matti' kairi's tone was low, almost a whisper but he lifted his head off mattia's chest, now staring at his lover. mattia's eyes glossed a bit, he didn't know how to react because he loved kairi, more than kairi would ever know.
