kairi sat on his best friend's bed, listening to her rant to kairi about his actions, 'KAIRI YOU LIED TO YOUR PARENTS AND TOLD THEM I WAS ON A TRIP WITH YOU, WHILE YOU WERE ACTUALLY WITH MATTIA?!' genesis seethed as she looked at kairi's blank expression.
kairi nodded which made her huff her breath, 'do you know how hard it is to cover for you?!' she said this time in a quieter tone. 'yeah i'm sorry, but i knew i could count on you!' he light heartedly said, trying to lighten her mood.
'what were you doing sneaking off anyways? what's the matter with you two? you couldve been kidnapped, or gotten lost in some forest, or killed by that psycho!!' she blabbered. 'well mattia would've saved me soo...' kairi trailed off while looking around the room, he tried avoiding genesis' eyes because he knew he'd feel guilty.
she groaned then threw a pillow at kairi's head. 'ow, what the fuck gen?' kairi laughed then turned around and grabbed a stray pillow. he hit her back which made the two have a pillow fight. laughs erupted between the two friends before they both became out of breath.
'kai' genesis called out to the boy who was sprawled our on the ground. 'yes?' kairi answered as he looked up at the girl who was a couple inches away from him. 'this summer, me and you, should go on a trip. just us, like a best friend trip' genesis sighed, a hint of sadness in her voice.
'definitely, it'll be so much fun' kairi exclaimed while sitting up in the process. he looked at genesis' face to see the girl already looking at him. 'i mean it kai, and if i find out mattia does something to you, i'll kill him' genesis replied with a serious tone that made kairi giggle.
'okay gen, enough. mattia wouldn't hurt me and where do you wanna go' he said, getting up from the floor. genesis followed him while they planned out their vacation.
meanwhile mattia was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. his mind was racing with thoughts. mostly regarding kairi, he wanted to spend every single moment with him.
truth is, kairi's death had been on his mind since they went to new york. seeing all the medications kairi had to take made his heart ache. he wished he could spend every moment with kairi, he wished he didn't have to worry about kairi dying.
he groaned then reached for his phone, he was going to call kairi but then remembered he was with genesis. he sighed then texted alejandro:
